All SUBs, I don’t do spend bonuses outside of MSing Chase Ink Cash 5X.
don’t tell people
Alright people, don’t check if you are targeted for this 205k NLL offer either.
I’m familiar with the offer.
Too many drawbacks for the return based on personal priorities.
One EQS one pay will get you above the spend threshold
But you have to lease (and drive) an EQS though.
The math of having several SUBs consecutively with 3Ps like Plastiq dumping AMEX and limiting Visa combined with a 2.9% fee starts to make less sense at a minimum of an AF of $695.
Rolling continual 200k SUBs with a $15k 3m spend is easy if you have a business that actually can spend that on an Amex card in hard goods and services - until Amex or Chase puts you in the penalty box. As a consumer, spending $15k isn’t hard in 3 months, but you then aren’t spending on other cards as well. This all makes more sense if you are spending $50k a month across all cards but nobody is realistically doing that, or at least the EQS lessees aren’t.
The cards and loyalty programs have become too restrictive and too available to far too many people. Devaluation and rules are real, and the churn is really a PITA.
It makes sense to have a Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve, Chase FF (for MC benefits and Plastiq, etc.), Amex Platinum, one decent co-brand hotel (Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott), one decent co-brand FF (United, American, Delta) and then add a once or twice per year churn for any other card with a huge SUB. To the extent possible, stick with 1 big hotel chain and 1 airline to max your status and benefits.
YMMV.
Why would you? Why would you ever waste spend on unbonused spend?
You are saying a lot to say juggle like 7 cards and I think that’s a waste. You can continue to meet bonuses non stop and you can do that without being penalized.
Loyalty doesn’t mean anything if you are booking J or F flights anyway with your million point stashes. Same with Hotels since except for Hyatt, the loyalty programs mean F all.

Just terrible terrible advice. Loyalty doesn’t mean anything now. Unless your job is paying to put your butt in seats every other week or 100 days in a hotel, you have to diversify.

You seem to think that these cards have to be kept open for some reason… Get the bonus, maximize all the credits and move on. You will be well ahead of the $695 fee.
You can debate it all you want, and the nonstop churn allegedly works for you so that’s great. I know what works for me, what my time is worth and how much I spend.
From the tone of your posts I sense a whole of lot of keyboard warrior nonsense and aspirational rather than actual experiences.
Best of luck to you though and your Southwest Companion.
keyboard warrior
Bro I don’t understand what I am doing to piss you off.
I have helped tons of people here get started and some here have made a ton already. I am happy to help you if you want to get started.
aspirational rather than experience
Do you want me to flex on you with my Instagram stories and screenshots of point balances? I am not dealing in theory here. I have been doing this for a long time and have years of experience.
I’ve only made it to this post in this thread, so apologies if this has already been answered. If I have the personal Plat already, how soon (if ever) can I apply for the business Plat and still earn the sign up bonus? To add to that, just a few months ago I received the Business Bonvoy. Does either of those disqualify me from earning the bus plat bonus?
You can apply for it right now. They are separate products. Bonvoy card doesn’t affect the Biz Plat card, it only affects other Bonvoy cards(very complicated).
I don’t apply for targeted NLL offers unless I received them myself. Got shut down from the call in offers for the biz plat a couple years ago - could see AMEX pulling that again
Any tricks for getting approved? Should I freeze certain credit reports? Bofa deez always asks for a laundry list of verification when I apply for the Alaska biz
Yes, BofA I have a business checking account with $5k in it. That seems to have helped breeze through approvals.
Also remember that BofA will let you reallocate for new ones, they are so broken that they will let you fully reallocate from an old Alaska card you got a bonus on to a new Alaska card lol. A la, they will close the old one and give you a new one with the same credit line. You can also reallocate credit from other open BofA Biz cards for approval.
I remember that rep. We had a whole directory of legit reps and he wasn’t one of them. I personally have a local rep (hint most people have local reps).
all accounts get ‘offer expired’
that’s what i was referring to, they’re not flowing like they used to.
For 200k? That one is targeted. 170k/180k is still alive and well, grabbed it a few days ago. It’s been flowing like clockwork.
120k/150k/170k/180k MR is the new 205k MR, Sir. Targeted, expired, whatever - who cares as like @jananth1 you didn’t get it regardless of how it is described as being something akin to a no brainer.
Just keep in mind that like many things on LHer (and in life) the alleged ease of it all does not always deliver the ROI as advertised.
Ah people with no experience talking about things they don’t know anything about…
Don’t be bitter. You can get another round trip in coach from Buffalo to Charlotte when your next 5/24 slot is available next April.
