Got one at a discount. This is in TX. I think they have tax credits if I’m reading this correctly. Marked up MF and residual is only 94%. I’m try to get to the bottom of it. Not that I need one.
King cab? At least they’re trading the TC for the rate markup so it’s the same as if you were paying full tax.
Not everyone’s salary has kept up with inflation, even remotely. I sold a lot of 300/mo tundras to people that could never pay 700 for a new one. When I had 300/mo tacos this month, I sold all of them in 2 weeks. 26 of them to be exact. The demand is there and that was a 39 month lease not 18…
It’s always nice to have 2-300/mo options regardless of the vehicles lacking components. At the end of the day a new car at this price is always less of a gamble then a used car financed.
It’s amazing, regardless if your tax bracket, we have a resource like leasehackr for people to utilize. Saving 200/mo is groceries for a week for a hard working family…
Something for everyone.
Oh, you’re right. The King Cab is 94%. This is a King Cab. Let me find a Crew Cab.
Yes, I don’t disagree with any point you have made here.
Tons of people buy Nissans! Many even love them! Fleet managers, to name one population.
It is considered a prerunner. They are thing in SoCal. 2wd offroad pickups(prerunners) became real popular in 90’s. They came about from vehicles used by race teams to prerun racecourses in baja.
Geezch.
It is called Leasehakr and any deals right now in the mother of all supply constraints and markeups are worth discussing.
For someone that just needs a new, vehicle/pickup truck to ride out the next 12-18 months of dealer and lease company shenanigans, at least it is a potential option.
In Pro4x trim I actually think this redesign is one of the best looking in small pickup segment. Maybe the best looking. Ranger, Canyon, Colorado look terrible. Tacoma looks good, but it has been out way too long.
I like the Green SV
. Seems to be a bunch on the ground in GA.
Tacoma’s work even with dated designs bc of their value. Almost all my clients have equity at lease end. Issue is the banks not allowing you to recapture it without paying the man…
I find it lazy and annoying that Nissan had better, newer parts available and chose mostly old and worse and dated stuff for this remake. Agree it gets better in the upper trims from a curb appeal standpoint, but the price also goes up here.
I do understand this partly a product of product development cycles/timelines, but it can be avoided if you care enough to take the cost hit.
Also, I believe the Frontier is no longer a small or compact truck… these are mid-size like the Taco. It’s actually similar interior space (from Edmunds):
T Front Head Room 39.7 in.
N Front Head Room 39.9 in.
T Front Leg Room 42.9 in.
N Front Leg Room 42.3 in.
T Front Shoulder Room 58.3 in.
N Front Shoulder Room 58.2 in.
T Rear Head Room 38.3 in.
N Rear Head Room 38.6 in.
T Rear Leg Room 32.6 in.
N Rear Leg Room 33.2 in.
T Rear Shoulder Room 58.9 in.
N Rear Shoulder Room 58.7 in.
I would consider one but I’m looking for a full-size truck (I have a thread here somewhere).
The old Nissan Desert Runner was rear-wheel drive.
Many of the dealers never heard of 18 months lease term before, so they are skeptical from the beginning. Also, in the bulletin residual values are listed for 15,000 mi/year and additional 3% needs to be to residual value. Happy hacking everyone!
maybe 15k miles for 18 months?
No the RV table is almost always based around 15k/yr and requires a plus up for 12k or 10k. NMAC has a 1pt shift to 12k and another 2pts to 10k.
No, what is listed in the bulletin is residual value for 15,000 mi/yr, then there is fine print:
Add 2% to RV for low mileage term of 12,000 mi/yr
Add 3% to RV for extra low mileage term of 10,000 my/yr
Wow, so this is really happening huh? Looks like there are a few base S 4x4 models near me that I will have to check out now. Probably a shitty truck, but if I can score one for under $175/mo it would open up opportunities to order something worthwhile like a new LT1 that arrives just as the snow melts here…
Damn this site! Damn you Roger!
