Hmmm… How much does EV maintenance normally run annually? And how much is insurance for an Ioniq 5?
Not sure why they have chosen a 28-day cycle.

Rip off. Im obviously not the target market.
Is it, though? I imagine it makes more sense to finance than to lease one, but insurance, registration, and maintenance are included. No monthly commitment. I am not the target market, but I could imagine car brands charging much more for less.
$899 doesn’t sound horrible. Especially if you need a short term lease or live in a state with high taxes. It would be an even better deal if it came with free charging from Electrify America (as you would get if you purchased).
The biggest limitation is it is only available at 5 dealers nationwide and there’s no guarantee of availability. So you cannot rely on this always being an option. It’s really set up more for someone that wants to try the car out for a few months before purchasing.
Care by volvo when first launched was great for younger drivers especially that qualified given insurance would cost them as much or more than the lease payments. Over time it’s degraded and the prices are quite inflated vs previous flat rate. I wonder how this will change over time.
I have been thinking about the cheapest way to switch cars every 12 months here in California, where sales tax is a thing. This doesn’t seem like a bad option.
