Hyundai One-Pay MF Reduction - How to make the dealer find the right number?

I am shopping for an Ioniq 5, and while I have been able to get to the desired car selling price, I am struggling to have the dealers take on the one-pay deal with Money Factor reduction of 0.0009. They tell me they reached out to corporate and they cant find any guidance as such. Does anyone know how to find the fine print on the reduction or what I can ask them to look for?

Thank you

I just saw this on Edmunds forums today as I’m shopping for the same car. An admin said:

“Tell them the program number is H220 for the EV one pay.”

Hope this helps.

Appreciate the note. The two local dealers keep telling me its too complicated on the one-pay and they dont know how to do it. I shared with them the dealership where one of the other OPs here got his one-pay so they could call and ask how to structure the deal, but that was really the only example i found. San Bruno in California. Still hoping they can figure it out…

Unfortunately if they don’t want to take the time to figure it out, your best option is going to a different dealer. Youre highly unlikely to convince them otherwise.

No dealer is ever going to do that.

They said they called others in the area and even out of state to get info, but nobody knew. I took them at their word and offered a place that does…

Some dealership’s “finance guys” don’t really know much about finance. No disrespect to anyone. They are just there to sell you useless add-ons and extort as much money as possible.

What they actually said was “we dont want to deal with a one pay, but we are going to present it to you in a way that makes you feel like none of our competitors can offer it either so you’ll give up and not use them”

Id be willing to bet they didnt call anyone

I totally agree with you, just wanted to push as far as i could go.

Do what? Exactly, what are they trying to do? Calculate the one pay? Give me the data (MSRP, MF, residual factor, acq fee, doc fee, sales tax rate, title/reg. fees, rebates, term, etc.) and I’ll do it. I’ll create a flawless professional-looking lease proposal like the one below (this is a monthly) but I can do one pays. PM me if interested. Sometimes you have to take them by the hand and guide them through the process. What better way to do than to formulate a target deal and create a knock 'em dead lights out lease proposal?

Qq. Are you pulling this off and actually tricking dealers? Pure genius

Yup, done it for years. I’m convinced lease proposals are the way to go… have had lots of success… they need tweaking, though. I’d be very concerned if they accepted my proposal right off the bat. That hasn’t happened yet. I make sure I have the airplane high enough to clear the Rockies!

Nope, not tricking dealers. Thanks, for the kind comment.

Here are the text messages from the dealership…

  • I understand. After talking to our finance we have decided not to go in that direction. (one-pay)
  • We are trying to figure out how to do the one time payment
  • On the phone with Hyundai right now
  • The one-pay im calling for the instructions it’s super complicated but I got you!
  • We tried the one time lease but it’s only been out for 2 months and they are saying they can’t do it I’m sorry
  • And we called multiple dealerships in the metro and out of state and nobody can provide us with the details to execute the one time payment.
  • We tried but apparently it is super complicated
  • Calling Headquarters, I will keep you updated

Deal is MSRP: 52,690
Discount before incentives: 4,690
Lease incentive: 10k
Registration fees: 506
Residual 70%
MF: 0.00244
DAS: 0

There is nothing complicated about constructing a one pay. The dealership is indicting themselves when they say they can’t do because it’s too complicated. They’re admitting that they’re stupid.

I’m going to need more detailed information than what you’ve provided (acq fee, doc fee, sales tax rate, state, rebates, term, etc.). See my posted lease proposal. All data must be dead on accurate. Estimates or ballpark won’t cut it.

I think they gave up. Here is the last message.

  • Trust me we had three people work on it yesterday and xx worked on it this morning. We don’t have the technology to support the program because we don’t ever do it.

Additional info:
Sales tax rate: 8.7%
No rebates
24 month / 12k miles
Adm/Acq fee: 499
Govt fee: 7

Technology turns people into robots and idiots. Do they have a brain to provide program support or, must they rely on technology? Pathetic, truly pathetic.

Dealer Doc fee? State? The output is limited by the input.

They gave up. Even told me the MF reduction of .0009 is not available in my region (midwest). They said it was probably only available in the west coast or something along those lines. I almost had it…

What is this? Every fee must be itemized separately. What is the acq fee? Admin fee?

We’ve got to get an accurate discounted MF.
