Hyundai Ioniq 9 deals?

Has anyone seen lease deals for the Ioniq9 either limited or calligraphy?

Have you searched the forum or browsed Hyundai brokers in the Marketplace ?

These just hit dealers, and the only numbers I have seen are ~$600/mon for Limited and ~$700/mon for Caligraphy with $5,000 due at signing. Both are 36/10K

Be patient, you are too early to be hunting for deals on these

These numbers are before taxes, yes?

I got quoted $8k down, 36mo, 10k mi, $895 mo California tax and $3400 of mandatory add-ons included. $40k to drive a car for 3 years, which seems crazy to me.
Ioniq 9 Performance Calligraphy
Residual value is 44,674

Just hunt for ev9 instead, it’s the same car.

Took Hyundai so long to release the Ioniq 9 that I thought they had given up on it.

It is crazy. That’s how first adopters get slaughtered.

But even when the deals do come don’t expect the Performance Calligraphy to do well. That’s marketed towards the most price-insensitive people

The programs from HMF are actually pretty good right out of the gate. The equipment levels on the middle trims are really good. For example the SEL gets Surround view, BVM, PDC, ventilated front seats (also heated obv) and heated steering wheel etc etc.

After the first adopters get slaughtered and dealers are willing to discount them, even a 6-7% discount makes an SEL a ~$500 + tax car effectively

Sounds great in theory but no one has inventory on EV9 right now

My bad, I’m not aware that Kia has no inventory on EV9 now. I thought they are assembled in US and not affected by the tariff fiasco.

I noticed no more EV9’s on lots. Do you know why that is?

Factory stopped production on the 2025s

I worry a little that the SEL is so obviously the right choice that dealers will be able to move them for whatever they want.

7 seats, surround view, and a heated steering wheel is all I want.

It’s the range around 300 miles as well?

Still waiting for regular vehicles getting ranges around 400…

Then you’ll be waiting a long time.

There’s not enough of a use-case to justify OEMs spending billions developing that. Almost nobody drives 400 miles without a break. And people planning trips without any L3 chargers on a 300+ mile route just won’t buy EVs at all.

In the meantime 400 can be achieved by aerodynamics (something as low and slippery as a Lucid or EQS) or an absurdly large battery pack like the GM trucks.

IDK about you but I’d rather take a trip where I charge a 100kwh pack after ~320 miles on a Io9 than charge a 200kwh pack after 400.

More likely the charging curve in the larger battery pack will be better, but I see your point.

On the other hand, looks like the Lucid Gravity is gonna have up to 450 miles of range with a 123kWh battery pack (charging at 400kW), so it does look like there’s still room for efficiency gains.

And for me, the 400+ range is significant because it gets me to most of my destinations without the need to charge on the way (ie getting to the mountains or RT to the beach in a single charge)

MY change. 2026 started to land. Wolf gray looks fire.

Also will be looking for this when deals / inventory shows up

This must be something beyond a normal MY changeover.

Inventory on the current MY doesn’t usually disappear by May.

The 26 MY vehicles are being assembled at a new factory in Georgia. The new factory is assembling EV models for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis. There are reports of delays in shipments from the new factory due to a delay in the buildout of the railhead at the new plant.
