Hyundai and Kia Capitve Lease program zip applicability

Hi everyone,

I’d like to ask the knowledgeable members here for some clarification regarding Kia and Hyundai captive leasing programs.

Do lease incentives, money factors (MFs), and residual values (RVs) apply based on the location of the selling dealer or the location of the vehicle registration?

I’m in a position where I’m looking to lease a vehicle from a Kia dealership in the Mid-Atlantic region, which currently shows higher lease cash than what’s being offered in the Southeast, where I reside. I’ve been given conflicting information from different dealers and would really appreciate hearing from someone who understands the programs without a vested interest in the outcome.

Many thanks in advance!

It’s my understanding that at least for Hyundai, it’s based on the dealer location.

That’s based off what I was told by a broker.

glad i started a thread is may be of use to someone else …lol

Which particular model are you talking about?

Sportage X-line Prestige PHEV is the one with the issue I’m inquiring about and Tucson Ltd PHEV as a back up but the Tucson lease program doesn’t seem to be as strong.

Do you have target calculators / offers for both regions?. Id be surprised if any increase in lease cash is enough to offset transportation costs.

I’ve done the math. I’ll be driving the car back - transportation isn’t an issue I’m worried about.

I’m pretty sure Hyundai incentives are dealer location. With that said, I’m curious on how the math works out.

Are you asking if 2 different models from 2 different manufacturers should have equivalent programs across different geographic areas (for the dealership)?

That’s a lot of variable, and I don’t think equivalent Kia and Hyundai models have the same lease deals (hence why you see a lot of Ioniq 5 deals, but not nearly as many EV6 deals).

I interpreted the question to be around the bolded part of the post - offers based on dealer location or registration location.
