also fyi — EVEN with all of this clients have asked me for brokers license, business’s license, and a whole bunch of other shit. that’s when i refer them to someone else bc if this ain’t good enough, we don’t want the deal. lol.
Thanks for sharing this behind-the-scenes insight into how the broker process actually works. Now at least some of us have a clearer understanding of what we’re really dealing with.
i don’t know if everyone does this
i know some brokers who just collect the fee and then kinda group chat the client with a sales person @ their store & do a “hand off”. everybody has their own process.
In your case do the #s include MSRP, Sale Price, DAS, Monthly, RV?
the broker agreement does itself does not contain the numbers discussed?
No
It contains monthly payment, due at signing, broker fee amount and miles / years.
The top snippet is cropped off because it had my clients name
Just snipped due to client privacy lol
Disclaimer: I’ve never leased. But I wouldn’t expect a broker agreement to contain all of those things b/c figures like MSRP and RV aren’t negotiable, and you’ll see the MSRP on the window sticker.
I do, however, think that a broker agreement would/should contain
But not sure if that’s common. Maybe some other people will weigh in w/ their experience.
It’s above the line where I snipped lol
CAN WE PLEASE fix one thing at a time… See how it goes…
Let’s standardize one thing at a time. See the next quote.
This is an easy fix @littleviolette you can wave the wand and have done today.
All the titles of each post: take out “BEST PRICE ANYWHERE”. “WILL NOT BE BEAT” and all that positioning crap.
— do that and the fake brokers won’t be able to help themselves and die off a slow death as they try to hold their tongue.
Also I’ve bought from 4 brokers here and never got scammed. But damn I say it, this time around it’s been hard as hell to sift through these marketplace posts without feeling like I’ve walked into a dealership.
I was provided with a copy of the window sticker with all of my broker deals. Some were cars already on the ground, some incoming, some service loaners, some custom order. Every time I was provided with the window sticker to verify the car would meet my needs/expectations.
that is what i expect and that is why i am worried
I fully agree with your expectations. I am not seeing this in my case. And that is why you see me coming back this thread ![]()
It sounds like you are saying that LH is a lot worse than the last 4 times you bought from LH. Am I reading that right?
Plain & simple if ur not comfortable w the broker or the process or the broker process in general
- switch brokers
- go negotiate your own deals
Then move on lol if the process isn’t to your liking
Who’s your broker?
If they’re on here, if they have good reviews, then just move fwd lol
Update: I am assuming it’s advanced auto group just because of your other posts. Mike’s a great guy. Not a scammer lol. ![]()
You’ve been given a lot of guidance.
Most of it involves getting clearer expectations from your broker.
I’m not measuring how much “worse” it is but it’s definitely not feeling the same culture/experience as I’ve had the last times.
And all 4 times were different brokers with different processes snd all great experiences.
I’m having a failure to launch this time though because maybe growing pains? Idk haven’t really thought about it.
the world would definitely be a worse place without LH that’s for sure.
Based on the agg that OP has expressed in this thread, it’s pretty clear that there is no assuaging OP’s reservations of using a broker for a car purchase. There doesn’t need to be a 100+ reply thread to this, with people trying to walk this person off the cliff. This is a person that is just more comfortable with a traditional dealership buying experience. This service isn’t for everyone.
Agreed. In addition: Forums should also not reward people who refuse to search and educate themselves before asking questions. The entitlement to be spoonfed answers grows with each instance.
