I have a 2020 Bolt lease that was up in January 2023. Got it for 45,000 mile over 3 years. Covid WFH made it 23,000 miles after 3.5 years.
December 2022, I was told by Chevy that I could do up to 6 month of month to month extension with the possibility of another 6 month after that. No additional mileage and no additional warranty coverage. Would not purchase the car because there is no equity. I was just told by Chevy last week that I have to return the car by July.
One other thing you would need to think of before extending your lease. EV Registration fee is $520 here in CA, so once you are going into Year #4, you will need to pay it, whether you extend your lease for 1 month or 6 months.
