Trying to work out a lease on a 2025 Chevy Equinox EV. All the numbers the dealer presented work with my numbers except the addon accessories they seem to have added in their proposal that was not on their website (which just showed a $ amount discount off MSRP). If the MSRP discount is fine, but these addons are adding another $2800 to the cost of the lease is there a way to negotiate these been taken off or pretty much with these type of dealers there is no way to do that? Anyone been successful in getting these addons remove from the lease proposal? I am in SoCal.
What are they?

Very situationally dependent. Some dealers will and some won’t. None of the dealers I’ve worked with in SoCal will require addons.
They can leave them you just need a larger discount. Just like a marked up mf you can still get a great deal on a vehicle with add ons if the discount is large enough. Let them get to the same ending point in the manor that is most advantageous to them.
Well they are at around 11% discount so I doubt they will discount any higher. I think for these cars 10% or so should be doable without addons I assume.
That’s an ok discount. I normally go for at least 12% off and no dealer add ons though. Just signed another today at that discount.
I wouldn’t assume anything. There are of data points on this site for you to make an educated counter offer.
Are you offering the 12% discount right off the bat and they are accepting it? No pushback from them?
Pretty much, but this is also a dealer that I’ve had a very extensive history of working with. The relationship with them definitely helps.
That dealer emailed back and sales manager is sticking to his deal saying that 11% discount is only available with the addons. He says to call him to see if they can work out a deal. I will pass on them and look elsewhere. Everything else was correct as far as mf, rv, etc., but that $2800 in addons.
As usual, the best thing to do with dealer websites is totally ignore them. Put together a well-researched target deal and make dealers offers.
Stop believing this dealer is at 11% off. They’re not. They’re simply presenting their numbers in a manipulative way to make it look like they’re not giving a crappy discount.
Dealers can take off some addons and some they can’t or won’t. What are these addons? Most dealers I talked to in SoCal did not have any dealer addons.
What’s the deal you getting apart from the additional $2800 addons? I am also looking for a 2025 Equinox EV
If the addons are warrantiesor similar, you can cancel after the deal in CA for a refund
Lol my guess it’s like catalytic converter vin etching or something
Just put it back in them the number you’ll sign immediately and move on to other dealers in the meantime. He might just not want you to shop his quote. I’ve had deals where building rapport over the phone has allowed me to close a deal.
