How to know how long a car has been on lot?

Hi, I’m shopping S90 deals in the Chicago area and there is a ton of inventory. Is there a way to know how long a vehicle has been on the lot? Whether it’s a demo or not?

Not sure how to tell how long it has been on the lot, but you can usually see the build date on the sticker inside the driver side door. Usually it would hit the dealers lot maybe a month or so after.

I use CarGurus. Can’t search by VIN but I usually search by dealership.

Yup. Car guru tell you how long its been listed on the site. Whatever it states, it’s always longer since no dealer inventory appears on car guru the first day

To add onto what they are saying, you can search by oldest listing as well as the specific VIN or model number.

You can get an idea of the month if it has an inspection sticker indicating the month of expiration.
