Hey Hackrs! So current deals for Hyundai Ioniq 5 for 97215 (Portland, OR) are 24mo 12k
24mo 12k .00252 MF and 61% residual. $14,000 lease cash SEL
24mo 12k .00231 MF and 62% residual. $13,500 lease cash LTD
How do I got about on asking dealers to match this? Would I email asking "I found this deal and am wondering if you are willing to match? And How do I ask for a % off the MSRP on the LTD?
Also is the residual part of the initial MSRP or discounted MSRP? Eg. MSRP of $59,795 for a limited. so estimated residual of 37,072.9?
The intent is to buyout ASAP if that matters? Never leased so a bit of a noob
Sounds like we are in the same boat. I’m also in the Portland area looking at the SEL and Limited. If I manage to get something I’ll let you know. Were you successful at all?
Go to the Hyundai website and look to see what lease deals they are offering in your area. Use the calculator to figure out how they are getting to that payment with the money down, taxes and the MF and residual you posted. You should get a rough idea of how much the dealer is selling the vehicle for to reach that lease payment. That is your starting point. Now figure out how much of a discount you need to get to a payment you want. Then start making offers via email to dealers in your area. My goal would be to get to the advertised lease payment with no money down and only first month payment due at signing.
Or you could just hire a broker to do it for you and get you a good deal…
Hi! What’s the process for finding a broker in my area (NC)? I don’t have a particular car I want, just want a safe care with a great deal. I looked on the marketplace tab but couldn’t really find one. Thanks!
The Hyundai site template for dealers seems mostly broken. Maybe it’s just my part of the country? The numbers are almost never correct. The only reliable source of information was the disclaimers on their banner ads, problem being is you need to hope one of the banners is for a thing you want.
I don’t know where you are, but here are the offers for the Portland area:
SE Standard Range $229/mo
SE $289/mo
SEL $330/mo
Limited $415/mo
These are 33 month leases with $3999 down and (excludes registration, tax, title, license, processing or documentation fees, insurance and any emission charge). I think shoot for the stated price with nothing DAS and you have a solid deal.
This is awesome. Thank you! Where were you able to find these? If I could get the stated price with nothing DAS, or even 110% the stated price with nothing DAS I would sign instantly.
There is likely something wrong with my approach. When I am attempting to work out a deal they seem to really have their heels dug in and will not negotiate.
The information is available on the Hyundai website under the Shopping Tools>Offer&Promotions then select deals for Ioniq 5. As a note, I saw a deal in CA for $3500 of MSRP on SEL RWD with about $15K in rebates for a monthly payment of well under $300 a month with $2000K DAS. You should be able to find at least a 6% discount on any Ioniq which should cover our down payment.
