How to get Manufactures Certificate of Origin?

For self registering lease, this document is required but if dealer won’t provide, anyone have relevant experience to share on getting an MCO without spending $$$?

Ouch. What did u do to make them mad?

Seems like there’s allot more detail missing to this story…

Probably have to wait until you get title because giving you MCO or MSO is basically the rights to the car. MCO typically goes to the finance company

Why would you be handing it? This usually goes from the dealer directly to the dmv, they issue title and send it to the bank.

You can have third party dmv service call your dealer and work it out.

This?

Google is great

Yes this is what it looks like also reads duplicate bottom right corner.

Now the question remains: how to get a duplicate copy if dealer is being obstinate

It’s a duplicate because original was lost. You are really in an uphill battle if dealer won’t help. You could try the financial services arm. Finance dept usually handles this.

Sent FS a message today through the portal.

We’ll see what they say…

Now that the form is confirmed, I agree that pushing FS is the way to go. But the reality seems to be that the dealer does not want to pay NJ taxes. And that sounds like a fraud on their part.
