HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 4)

What conquest rebate?

Sorry, it’s actually for a GC 4xe which I believe has a competitor lease rebate.

I have been charging mine regularly. Are we not supposed to charge these without this fix?

But how long is it going to take for Jeep to get every vehicle in for service to complete the software update? I’m guessing the average 4xe owner will be unable to charge for a lot longer than 9 weeks. And when you’re on a 24 month lease, if you can’t use one of the vehicle’s main selling points for a significant portion of the lease term it starts to stink.

I never stopped charging mine during it’s recall campaign.

The world is going to sh!t and peeps worry and complain non stop on FB about not-charging their Jeeps. :joy:

My local dealer told me they won’t be doing any until the spring because they it’ll be too cold for the temp they need to get it to for the testing and if it fails that they can’t get a battery pack and they want me to be with a vehicle. What a joke this whole thing is. Glad to be done with the grand Cherokee in a few months.

That’s interesting - my local dealer scheduled me for Thursday morning.

Yeah I wonder if it’s just a dealer who wants out of it. I was scheduled online for Thursday. Going to shop other dealers for the fix.

Odd excuse. They don’t have an indoor workshop? I had my recall checked a few days ago and that was in the NE, where it is anything but warm…

Yeah I think they just don’t want to deal with them. Will try other dealers but thought this one was interesting.

Also called Jeep Cares to complain and maybe get the free gas card people are getting.

I received a $1,500 bonus cash (private) offer from Jeep today since my lease is up on 3/20/2024. The Bonus Cash is good until 3/12/2024. Check your inboxes FYI!

My local dealer scheduled me for a Monday. I didn’t get a ton of confidence. I asked how long they would need it given the testing involved. They said one day maybe two but they have not done the repair steps yet. I get to be their test.

It isnt a difficult procedure as long as they actually do the drive cycle test.

Mine said needed a day and they have had it four. Hopeful to complete today.

For those trying to schedule, no appointments were available online and the dealer wasn’t answering the phone for days after the notice went out. Got through to a person and scheduled for the next day. Didn’t ask for rental car and I think that made a lot of difference.

My '21 Wrangler HA lease is up in about 40 days. Started talking to Jeep dealer I have “relationship” with. He is stating that you can’t get the $8k incentive (i’m in Illinois) and the $7500 rebate passed through on a lease from Stellantis. Anybody have input??

The $8000 includes the $7500.

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick response. I know you are 1 of the foremost experts on this forum, so maybe you can help me understand why the leases are looking so bad right now. I have Tread Lightly…So, I’m entitled to 1% below invoice. The dealer is only giving me 4% off of MSRP

4% off is a bit better than 1% off invoice.

There are much better deals to be had on these than 4% off. There are some dealers that will give an extra 1-2% off whatever discount you get with affiliate.

There are brokers here doing 11-12% off with affiliate.

4 days!? Mine was just there for about 4 hours.

Ok, but that is sort of my point. On the posts above me ppl are saying their lease quotes are coming in at $600-$800 for the same vehicles (MSRP’S) we were all paying $300-$450 for. If we can still get the 11-12% off plus the (at least) $8000 in incentives, payments should be $550 max for a 36/12 first only at inception
