HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 3)

Dude I wish we could still score Nacho. That would be the one I’d keep and never let go of.

Removed the inserts, lightly sanded with medium grit sandpaper, sprayed 3 light coats of regular spray paint, and a protective coat (don’t remember what I used).

Any LHers use Cars and Bids to sell their 4xe?

I hear ya. Unfortunately I’m selling the Nacho and keeping the 4xe’s.
The only consolation is that @Clutch got me an insanely good price for the Nacho through his buyer!:+1:

Thanks! Was 57,200 2 weeks ago so that’s not bad. Selling my most recent one offers were down quite a bit. A lot of 53-54k on a 60,300 MSRP build. Found a local-ish dealer who gave me 56k (sold my last one similar build for 57,500) to make about 4k on an order I placed 6 weeks ago… I’ll take it.

What helped me was finding what Jeep dealers had no 4xes in stock or inbound, that helped find the one to jump at it.

Dealers are getting inbound/non-cancelled order inventory so I think if you have a 22 that you’re looking to flip I wouldn’t wait.

Thanks for that insight. What do you predict for a 22 sale roughly 2 months out mid September?

We could probably poll or crowdsource a guess. But the 3000 posts on the “peak insanity” thread over a year would tell you that it’s anyone’s guess Was This Finally “Peak Insanity” in Used Vehicle Prices? And all other crystal ball questions - #3255 by GeminiRam

Personally if it was my only 4xe I’d want it for the rest of the summer even if I gave up some profit. But that’s also the window where dealers want them as well.

Awesome, thanks, I periodically check that thread “peak insanity”, I’ll have to do a drive by. I have a 2022 Rubicon (~67k pre price hike now 68k) Gobi, SOT, Leather. I figure mid August for pickup and 30 days to register it. I have a 2022 Sahara that I was going to sell but I picked up in the good old days of March with ~13k one pay on 60K MSRP that I will keep for the long term.

Same boat with a single pay keeper Sahara

Rubi’s are holding better than Sahara and Gobi will help you too.

My 12/27 order from @Clutch 's LA dealer is en route to me, I just wanted to post that I had a seamless experience with the dealer with zero headaches. Renae was awesome to work with and hands down the easiest vehicle purchasing experience I have had. Now to check UConnect tracking for the next 4 days like I used to do on the Jeep tracker.

Yes then you need to apply for $7500 rebate credit through IRS and that takes time may be 1 year…

Other options like Ally or US bank dont allow you to Flip to 3rd parties.
CCAP denies you. So you pretty much ran out of options.

did you compare rates at all? I just put some rough numbers in two different calculators and it looks like even with an 11% discount but marked up MF, it’s still more per month than just using a dealer who has the standard mf with 9.75% discount.

Personally I wouldn’t say a nearly 8 month wait was seamless but glad everything else worked out smooth

Anyone heard from Mike at Ourisman lately? Seems to have gone MIA the past day - been trying to order since last week

The wait has nothing to do with the dealership, that’s on Jeep themselves. Once delivered to the dealer I had it on a truck 1.5 weeks later. Also to be fair, it’s a keeper build with all of the boxes checked ($75.6K MSRP) so I expected to wait some time, just not 7 months.

We didn’t hear anything until our number was up. Then it was straightforward.

Out of state broker would require broker fee and dealer deposit. If the secondary market is softening there’s more risk with the upfront fees.
