HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 3)

Ya, 392 gets the bronze color for all its accents… tow hooks, badges, stitching, etc

Are you able to share the deal?

Thanks for sharing.

It would be helpful to some if you could post the VA & MD new vehicle laws/regulations that cover this?

I did, although, not a clear answer. After making calls to CCAP myself, I was informed I was Tier 1. I relayed this information to GM who “looked into it” and was basically told that CCAP was telling me something different then they were telling them. After a bit Of back and forth, the paperwork is in the process of being changed to reflect Tier 1. It’s supposedly in the mail on its way to me.

On a side note, LC has been a pleasure and followed up along the process and the GM has actually been pretty solid to work with as well.

Hopefully this paperwork arrives soon.

Thanks Boss

If you have any strong opinions on cloth vs leather in a Rubicon build can you let me know? All I really care about it is cold weather group and having heated front seats, seat material does not matter that much. Any significant lesser resale value? I think the interior may look a little less premium with less leather on the dash and doors arm rest (lacks stitching). Debating if the leather if really worth the ~2k MSRP price premium.

For custom factory orders, does anyone know if including the safety group and advanced safety group adds to the build time? Dealer told me the safety group parts are scarce and it will likely mean a longer wait / build time.

What the heck is a “priority order”? Sounds like dealership BS because if it were possible to expedite an order through the factory, I think everyone would be offering such a thing.

I think it’s worth it. To me the 4XE has a lot of higher end features standard over regular jeeps that it falls in a weird medium with the cloth seats and plastic interior.

Yes, I mean a custom factory order… I guess it’s only Central Jeep here in MA who calls it a “priority order”. Agree this is just marketing, not an expedited order.

Are you planning to keep this build or flip it? If you’re keeping it, then the 2k is really only about $1.8k after discount, and then you really only pay about 37% of that based on RV. So are the leather seats worth $700 to you over the life of your lease is the question that should probably be asked.

Can someone post CCAP April numbers, for Northeast and Mid Atlantic

Close to pulling the order trigger on a Sahara - huge thanks to @mllcb42 for answering a ton of questions about the vehicle and convincing us to get it
Anyone here has a Sting Gray / Dark Saddle combo that you can share? Still debating between sting gray / gobi.
RE: Off road camera - do you guys find it useful in non-off road situation IE, tight parking / garage etc considering there is no front parking sensors? Not planning to flip the car quickly (maybe 12 to 18 months)
Thanks!

Click on regional incentives.

I ordered through Central in January and got my 4xe with cold weather, adv safety and safety in 6 weeks. So like any part it’s anyone’s guess what will drive constraints. If you’re buying to keep I think it’s worth it to have the features to keep you safe.

And a bunch of dealers up here call them Priority orders. Anyone’s guess when it arrives whether weeks or months.

boom, logic.

I missed the front camera on my first build, but ordered it on my second. I’d say it is definitely useful for parking, but sensors would still be better. For a couple hundred bucks (when amortized over the lease period), I’d say it is worth it over an aftermarket option since you’ll have direct integration with the Uconnect screen.

What was their discount and doc fee?

It was before I knew about the forum and I have since ordered another with SOT at a much bigger discount with @DistrictCars

But they honored treadlightly as a discount and were below invoice with a small markup on MF and great to work with. $597 doc fee. Delivered to my door an hour away. The wrangler forums will pretty much tell you every dealer that’s offering discounts (there’s a spreadsheet). Most of the big discount dealers like Koons won’t work with people in MA though because of our insane registration rules. Thankfully the DC area brokers here will.

Most insurances cover windshield repair with no deductible from my experience. Just had Safelite come to my house to repair my Tesla windshield. 30 minutes for the guy to fix it, I didn’t have to pay a thing or put in any effort to get it done.
