What they’re doing is inexcusable, but this is yet another good reminder to always get prices settled and docs signed remotely. Once you’re on their territory, you’ve lost almost all control (and are more likely to miss mistakes, too).
Its one pay. Total DAS was 15,491 for 36 months one pay. Not sure if there is anything else i can provide.
Mines a $65k high altitude that’s hung up
Agree. I tried. They were not responding. Emails and calls and messages. They even said oh we did not know you were coming.
I was not responding to your post
Looking at the contract I see what’s going on and potentially where the confusion is coming from.
They’ve calculated a base payment amount using the depreciation from selling price to rv and .00041 as ~$19k. They’re then adding in all the taxes/drive offs, which is bringing you up to about $23k for your total one pay cost.
That $23k one pay is being paid with $15491 in cash and $7500 in rebate.
A3 is your single payment amount based on the depreciation/rv
A14 is your total one pay cost
Section B describes how the total cost is paid.
Will do still waiting for call back
I see. Any funny business in your opinion and why it is off when calculated with leasehacker calculator? What is done is done I guess but was hoping to understand better. Does CCAP calculate differently?
Not even built. I’ve given up checking. Maybe next month.
How was your process with driveway. They told me they’d mail me paperwork by the 14th a week ago. Is that something you went thru?
There doesn’t seem to be an industry standard way of one pays being calculated.
There’s two main ways for calculating rent charge on a one pay:
- net rent charge = # of months * mf * (selling price + rv)
- net rent charge = # of months * mf * (2 * rv)
I believe ccap does the former and the lh calculator does the latter. It would account for probably $3-400 difference in this case.
edit: this is incorrect. The lh calc also uses the first
Thank you. Wonder how brokers handle it since they give a LH calculator. Now looking at initial quote when Jeep was delivered. they had the acquisition fee in there with doc fee but no tag fee after I went over it again. So thats about 300 there too. The other 200 is how they calculate i guess.
Again, thanks for the explanation. Love the car so far. So I guess, it is a CCAP calculation everyone that makes the difference in one pays. I guess in the end Chapman did the right thing. Thanks for everyone that got involved.
Well, doing some test calculations with the lh calculator and it looks like I’m incorrect. It uses the first configuration.
With that said, if I fill out the calculator with their terms and manually enter the sales tax instead of let the calculator try to calculate it, I get pretty close to the right number.
Ran the calcs by hand (using their tax number) and it comes out correct, so I’m not sure where the lh calculator discrepancy is coming from.
It was fairly simple. They didn’t have to mail me anything. They requested some documents which I emailed, got a link for a digital inspection which required some photos, got payoff, and scheduled appointment for pickup.
The day of the appointment just had to sign paperwork and got my check from the rep picking up the Jeep.
Only issue I had was getting the right payoff from CCAP. Driveway rep sent me the number they got which I knew was wrong as it included taxes.
In Vinny’s original post on the other thread he checked ‘Capitalize Taxes’ of the highlighted boxes below and none of the other boxes. Is that the correct box to be checking? If there’s Zero drive off (besides 1st month’s payment) wouldn’t that be the proper choice? I’m having trouble matching the LH calculator to Mall of Georgia’s numbers and I’m starting to think it’s the boxes I’ve been checking. Any LH’ers know for sure on here? If you do a one-pay, all the other highlighted boxes disappear.
Is there anyway to get a dealership to honor a one-pay if you use CCAP? Or is it their prerogative to choose whether they want to give you that option or not?
Thanks man. Yeah, needs to be figured out i guess about LH calculator because creates tension. Many thanks and owe you a beer if you ever in NY. I guess in the end i paid what i should have paid.
Same problem I had i guess. Something off with lh calculator
I also did the inspection and submitted the photos. I’m not sure what exactly they’ll mail but they did ask me for my last four of social several days ago. I’ll send them a text tomorrow to make sure it’s all on track. I’m glad it worked out for you.
Question regarding CCAP account - Will you able to login to your account after it is paid off? I sold my Jeep and the dealer sent a payoff check this week. I am not able to login to my account when I tried it just now or may be it’s some maintenance by CCAP.
