What do you mean by multiple? Multiple would by definition be more than 1. I think it’s perfectly acceptable for someone to order 2, but I could also see more than 2 being an issue at some point.
Multiple orders. Usually 2 are acceptable but more than that is raising red flags and Jeep is canceling those orders.
Can a 3rd be ordered as soon as delivery is received?
I think so, but cannot guarantee it since we have not experienced that before.
@wingking said he is going to get this information for us. Let’s just hope it’s not from the same guy that said only MF can’t be locked
Honestly, if folks purchase their vehicles, I can’t see anyone telling anyone what to do with their asset. Last time I checked, we’re in America.
Leasing ? That’s another story. I could see Ford and even Stellantis stopping third party sales or charging “market rate “ prices on THEIR asset.
Sooner or later the music is gonna stop. The circus came to town already in these last few months and you already see the posts here with folks getting in and over their heads. Ordering multiple cars at a time etc .
At some point, someone is gonna be left holding the bag.
They can do whatever they want if it’s in a contract, pulling the ‘merica card is irrelevant here. The article specifically mentions it’s the dealers choice if they want to add that language to the sale, Ford will just support them should they choose to do so.
This is just public relations lip service from Ford.
Corporate didn’t stop their dealers from adding 10K+ ADM’s on the Bronco or Mach E, once the customers ordered vehicles arrived.
Also adding the language will allow them to get more stock if you decline. Then they can add a 20K ADM because it’s not a customer ordered unit anymore.
Nope. Not a damned thing they can do about it once you buy it. The only way for something like this to work is if they retain co-ownership. Then they can just refuse to sell their stake. As for being a lease or finance, the only way to stop people is to do what other banks are doing and refuse third-party buyout and/or impose early payoff penalties.
Ford sued John Cena over Ford GT. Believe he couldn’t sell the car for 24 months. This might be similar contract done with all owners of these new vehicles.
Something ever-so-slightly different about a mass-produced F-150 vs. a Ford GT.
If they didn’t do a “no-sell” clause on Broncos, they ain’t gonna do it for g’damn Lightnings.
Currently waiting for my hardtop to come in, but really wishing I had gone with SOT - I’m assuming my only option to is sell the first and place a new order? No change fees, options, etc
Ya, not much you can do once you’re past a certain point
Tried to visualize results from latest Build Sheet scraping. Was able to find over 700 hundred VINs, they are all ranging from 0 to 29000 (last five of VIN#)
Not in TX. You pay sales tax on the full purchase price of the vehicle when you lease it new. Then if you buy the vehicle at the end of the lease you pay sales tax on the agreed upon purchase price.
Essentially for us TX people, we’d have to get a “best case scenario” the entire way to match/beat a broker deal. Favorable sales price/Sales Tax Credit from lender/qualify for the $2500 state EV rebate (limited in number…1st come 1st serve)
Value added post. Thanks for sharing
Lol that happened to me the first time too. I think it’s easier while coasting at a slow speed
