HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 2)

Nice review. I just looked on AutoNations website and they have 38 used 4xe’s listed.

Yeah, I looked further into it… you are correct in that the truck has ZERO options. Other, than the two-tone paint (which I don’t even consider an option) it is as base as base gets. Preaching to the choir here, as I know you looked at the WS as well.

We also have to takes this AutoNation employee’s opinion with a grain of salt. There can be such a market variance between locations/regions. Great data point, nonetheless!

It could be as simple as the color combination doesn’t suit the buyers in that area. I’m mean, you’re looking at a $90k (used) truck and it doesn’t even have any form of bed protection?? lol I think you are absolutely correct in that the dealer is being too greedy in this case. The combination of an early MY21 (low sticker for the potential customer to view) and the fact that there are ZERO options…if this were around the $80k mark, I think it would sell.

Ordered 9/29 finally home 1/3, it was worth the wait!

None of them signed deals on these vehicles look very good in the signed deals heading. Especially with the government subsidies

:face_with_monocle: Interesting…

I guess the multiple threads, literally thousands of postings, of discussion have been kind of pointless.

Maybe it’s still alittle early, but have CCAP numbers been released yet for January?

I think the program is through today, if I remember correctly

Yes, just checked. Today is last day. Will be tomorrow. Sorry for fire drill lol

NICE!!! Congrats!

2021, right?

All, I think I am getting closer to pulling the trigger on another 4XE to enjoy. These are topics I’ve seen come up in the thread recently, but want a final/current take:

1. Sahara vs. Rubicon: Lately, some posters indicate a more basic Rubicon is advantageous from a lease equity standpoint. Does this still ring true? I’m leaning Rubicon though I enjoy the driving dynamics of the Sahara more (less tire noise, better handling, quicker acceleration).

2. Soft Top vs. Hard Top Value: Any thoughts on how a Premium Sunrider top would affect values vs. a black hardtop? I’ll do the hardtop if there’s a clear trend it’ll net a higher offer down the road, but summer and a soft top seem like a lot of fun.

Thanks!

Love the color. The more I look at these I like every color. Congrats and enjoy.

If you’re ordering mostly to enjoy, simply order the spec/options that you want, since predicting resale values in 4-6 months time is difficult. I’d also vouch for SOT instead of soft/hardtop, if you’re interested in using it often. It’s remarkably convenient.

Thanks! Initially I was concerned snazzyberry might be too light/bright for me, but in person, during the day it’s a dark wine/maroon color, at night its like amethyst. Might not be for everyone but i really enjoy it!

Looks like you paid/added the additional optional black tubular running/step boards.

I think this is the first I’ve seen these on the Saharas/HA’s since the flat style running boards coming standard with them.

Snazberry looks sharp !

Yes, however, I do want to make sure I can get out because closer to the end of the year my Ford Lightning may or may not be getting built. I suppose it doesn’t really matter. I’ve experienced SOT in person and it’s great. So easy.

Good afternoon everyone…I’ve got a few questions for the group. I’ve been following this thread but have gotten behind a bit so apologies if recently discussed.

  1. I leased a 2021 4xe and the lease began at n 10/22/21. I have not yet received my jersey plates. Can I sell it? I have my 2nd order coming in and I’d like to sell my first one before getting my second on the docket. I know I’ve read you can’t sell until it’s funded etc, but I’m not sure exactly what that means and I’ve made 3 payments already.

2). Where is the best place to sell these days?

Thanks in advance.

If you made 3 payments
It’s funded

Try autonation they seem to be paying more than CarMax

Does anyone have problems starting the wrangler in cold weather, especially after snow? My wrangler won’t start after the snow and I’m in Michigan. Lock/unlock/remote start doesn’t respond. I tried to open the door, sit inside and press the start button but it doesn’t respond as well. Just picked up the car from the lot last Friday with full tank gas. I reached out to the dealer and they said they’ll have someone to take a look. They also asked me whether I tried a jump starter but I feel like the battery issue should not happen on a brand new car. Does anyone have any clue why this happens?

Update: They did a thorough check and all parts are fine. The car won’t start because the battery was drained, and that is caused by the door was not completely shut.
