HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 1)

,

I guess the way I was thinking about it was that if there was $3,000 upfront for Ohio taxes, dealer/acq fees, deposit and say $700 in monthly payments the overall profit would be carmax price minus buyout - but you’d also have to include all those other expenses. So instead of profit of 10,400 it would be more like $6700?

Or said another way using my calculator attachment I have $10,911 in total upfront cost and $39,243 RV - where would the $3k be saved?

your up front cost includes interest that you would be refunded. Plus, are you sure there was a 595 acq fee in June in OH? That is a number that has been changing very often, making deals across states and across months tougher to compare.

You have over 10% off msrp. Where you getting that

Folks gotta read.

10% plus was previously achievable with high MSRP plus supplier. You aren’t getting that NOW.

I believe I read he got for 6% under invoice but to Qbrozens point you can’t get that now (believe 4% if best Ive seen)

Ah, that makes sense and sounds like fantastic news to my calculations haha

Not sure on the Acq fee back then, I think most of the Great Lake waivers have only been on 39/42 lease.

Thanks for helping me work through this - it was making my brain hurt that I couldn’t reconcile the numbers

Folks gotta be kind.

I apologize for not seeing and memorizing 10,000 posts

Wonder if we see the number trend back down with the model year change over and not as much inventory making it through for a few months.

Tax is nowhere near 3k. About 1200.00

I assumed qbrozen meant part of the rent charge

If you meant my comment about $3k upfront that was for taxes, your $1k deposit, dealer fee and acquisition fee

sorry, I’m not trying to be mean.
But this thread would be probably half the size it is if things didn’t get asked and answered multiple times. I guess, at this point, we should just forget it is a thread at all and treat it like a live chat. lol.

So BBB was passed in the House today but waiting to be approved in the Senate?

What’s the EV rebate looking like for next year? Is it still $8500?

No clarity yet. It will probably undergo some changes in the Senate. Will have some idea in coming weeks.

Do you think you would have received more with the SOT top?

I plan to order and drive it next summer then flip.

Just trying to decide if the $2000 top upgrade is worth it.

I don’t think you’ll get a full extra $2k back from the sot, but it’ll make your year of driving it better.
