Most dealers can see this. If you’re ever on a dealer website and typing in their chat window they can see before you hit send (even if you delete).
I might get mine this week. If I plan to flip the vehicle, is it better to pay the onepay or to just do monthly?
Kinda on the same note. Anyone planning to sell their first to a Jeep dealer (than who you ordered from) and order a second from the that same dealer (other of the 3-4 doing the same 6% off invoice with affiliate) to avoid capital gains?
Very nice build
Not me. Separate accounts.
If past experience is a predictor of future results, the RV present at the time of the order will be applied at the time of delivery.
Only if you price protect
not many dealerships do that
Ehh historically Jeep hasn’t moved them much month to month on Wranglers.
If residual drops by a point, they’ll shave off alittle on the MF equalizing things.
But who knows. I don’t have a magic ball
Well they already dropped the residual and increased the base price over the past few months…
True true true.
Very excellent point, I would not deal with a dealer who did not price protect on one of these. Too much risk.
This just made me think that this topic is something we haven’t discussed much on the board (dealers that are not offering the sold order protection versus the ones that are)…That could play very very heavily into the purchase decision.
Do you write off capital losses on vehicles as well? If not, why would you report a captital gain? There is no federal tax reporting, other than the EV credit, that is generated in these transactions.
A car is not capital…there are no gains or losses to claim on your taxes.
Sorry but this is not true. Cars are absolutely capital.
There is another thread about this topic.
6/23 been unloaded of rail. A week or less to be cleared for me to pick up from dealer.
Pretty quick if you ask me. Let’s see if I sign before new numbers for July.

Now most people that are selling their vehicle with positive equity aren’t actually profiting, their just reducing their net expenses. That, of course, isn’t the case for people grabbing one of these and then immediately reselling for a sizable profit.
Are there any that are? I was under the impression that all the deals that are being talked about here were only locking in the purchase price and the rebates, MF, and RV were subject to change prior to delivery.
Absolutely.
This is something, as I mentioned above, that we haven’t been talking about too much on the board. There are definitely dealers that are participating in the pricing/RV protection program and others that are not. Personally, with the intention of leasing, I would not want to factory order one of these without the sold order protection in place locking the sales price and the RV.
Does anyone know if any dealers in the Northeast offering this deal?
