While we have been busy day and night discussing cdjr products, it’s time we bring a fresh contender for LH. Ford has a nice line up of suv’s and trucks of all shapes and sizes, with discounts to be had across the board for 3-4% under invoice (not as strong as cdjr discounts but still something).
Current dealers offering order discounts (that I know of) are Koons, Chapman, Granger.
Fred beans ford was also doing 4% under invoice but have been told it was a monthly special.
Together with these discounts, Ford is offering $1000 bonus cash on all custom orders (excluding specialty vehicles) and they have some decent leasing programs which can make for a nice hack, did I mention that Ford can send personal cash offers up to a few grand…
So question for people that have ordered a ford or anyone who has experience with them,
1- Is there automatic price protection from Ford once you submit the order
2- Can you you lock in MF/RV
3- Can you lock in rebates
This is a good idea! The Ford dealers near me offer pricing that’s laughable, at least the last couple time I’ve check in on cars. Chapman is a very realistic drive for me. Probably for many on the forum too, if they’re commuted there to get a Jeep.
I really wanted to get into (finance) a new Maverick, but they aren’t even accepting new orders at this time due to production issues combined with huge demand. Who knows when they will become available again. The rest of their lineup is either way too expensive, or too large for my needs.
1 - Kinda - but not really and might not apply. Only for specific circumstances
2 - No
3 - No
I have 2 Ford’s currently on Order, a Bronco that I reserved in Nov 2020, and a Maverick I ordered in Oct 2021. Both still do not have build dates. I ordered from Stephens and Chapman respectively for under invoice on both.
You kinda have price protection, but we’re not sure if Ford might get rid of it if Bronco’s convert to 2023 and if you change your order, you lose it. It’s also not completely automatic, you have to make sure the dealer goes into Vincent and gets a rebate code for the price protection and applies it to the deal. If they have issues with it or you both forget, then there won’t be any price protection.
Ford’s pipeline is a mess, and corporate has lied and misleads the dealers and consumers on the ordering and reservation process for these 2 trucks. I full expect that if Ford is quoting 34 weeks, that it will take at least a year. Again, I don’t have any build dates which means the earliest I’ll see any of these trucks is mid-late June if they get scheduled tomorrow. A lot of people are pretty upset with Ford right now, myself included.
