How to find aged inventory?

How do you find dealer inventory for aged or loaner cars? Look thru dealer websites but can’t seem to distinguish aged inventory or loaner.

Car Gurus shows days on market.

Agreed, cargurus is the way to go.

The problem I’ve found with car gurus is not all dealers’ inventory is on there. When I search my area for a specific car and go out 200 miles say, it fails to show certain cars that I can find on a dealer website within the 200 mile radius. Not sure how others handle that.

Autonation group is not on car gurus.

I had same question and did some research and find a good way. Would like to share this with others who are in the same boat.

If you can find the VIN (you can find it on the dealer site), use the website below

https://vincheck.info/check/vin-check.php

Then check the sales records, you will see when the dealer started to sale the car, that will give you an idea how long this car has been in the lot.

To help you NOT do the MATH (I think you should, because you are a LH member), use the link below, it will show you how many days between two dates.

Below is a sample I did for Volvo S60 (looks like 2019-09-08 is the first day)

I’ve use iseecars.com under VIN lookup for finding how long a car has been on the lot.
