How to find a dealer that offers the "official cash incentives"?

This is how I’m trying to find a good lease deal:

  1. I look up current incentives listed on Edmunds.
  2. I find one for a car I like with high residual value.
So for example, I was looking at the 2017 Chevy Camaro. $2,000 Loyalty Cash Incentive till Jan 31st.
  3. Now here’s where I fail: I can’t seem to find a dealer in my area who offers me said Cash Incentives. I looked some up on Edmunds and most of them claim the price that is shown on there is final, with all discounts. The thing is, they only give $500 loyalty cash for example. How’s that possible?

How do I find a dealer that actually offers those “official incentives”?

Those rebates might be for purchase only. In addition, do not discuss rebates with them, just talk sales price first.

There is no $2,000 loyalty cash for Camaro that I see? You got a link?

i didn’t say i was gonna lease to any of the dealers, yet they still didn’t offer me those incentives. aren’t they obliged to participate if they come from the manufacturer and i specifically ask for them?

No. That’s why you see something like “Payments may vary, as dealer determines price”.

that makes sense.

so what’s you guys’ strategy to getting the best deal? you got any tricks up your sleeve?

Start with TrueCar and build your car. Then see incentives there (expand to see details). This is probably not all cash that you can get, but will give you idea.

Spelled out incentives/discounts on dealer’s website:

  • The dealer advertised price may not reflect specific dealer offers, and may be subject to certain terms and conditions as indicated in the advertisement. Consult your dealer for more information and complete details.
