Even unicorns are based in some reality, i.e. aged inventory, damage disclosure, odd color/options.
I agree, the process starts somewhere but like I said, you ain’t getting 10% off an Escalade or something hot/in short supply.
I’m genuinely curious on this one; I understand what you are saying but the general LH wisdom seems to be that a salesperson is going to have little interest in a low-margin (mini) deal and, accordingly, just ignore an inquiry like we are suggesting here, even if it’s realistic but pretty lean. On my last go around doing the email circuit, all of my best offers came from sales managers.
A mini deal becomes a maxi deal when you give them a great google review, a great survey, and 10 minutes to sign the paperwork.
That’s because the “biggest” hackers here do what 2 maybe 3 deals a year? I do between 25 and 40 a month. They all think that their deal is special and they need the special treatment.
Some of us do more than three a year.
But yes there is a subset of LH that expect concierge service when paying Walmart prices.
I have had
Correct me if I am wrong, I assume closing and selling car is your job… why else “desk” guy comes in to seal the deal?
Curious what is the actual work you do besides poking around in routeone.
Training, Rdr’ing, approvals.
A hakr deal doesnt need my help to get the drivers license pick a stock number set up ins. Thats what salespeople are for. Get all of that together I will say yes or no
I think my last 6 or so cars over the past 5 years were all done as a result of communicating directly with the sales manager via email. There was one exception where the deal was agreed to in person but contact was initiated via email.
I am having no luck with CDJR dealers in New Jersey. On the other hand, Lexus dealers are providing me with competitive quotes and getting close to buying a Lexus Gx 460.
Yes you are super special. The whole dealership, hell corporate should stop what they are doing to assist you. Entitlement is a bad look
NJ is simply crap for dealers. CDJR dealers in NJ are basically MSRP or bust
I don’t think that’s what I said or implied, but go off. An email simply stating “Hello, I’d like to know what your current selling price is for stock number X, before any rebates and incentives are applied. Thanks in advance for your time” is the least bit entitled. Either they will engage you, ignore you or pass you off to a salesperson. For everyone that won’t engage there is someone who will, no corporate involvement necessary.
Yeah right. More like,
“I want a 88k xc90 recharge for 500 a month. 0 due at signing. Plus I want a check for 10k in equity for my off lease xc40 that’s 5000 over miles”
I’ve never shopped for a Volvo lmao
I have a person from this site texting me asking how they can use Julys rebates with August mf and RV
I swear to God they think there are hacking the system
