Appreciate the comment.
While I am human/fallible like everyone else, at any given time I am managing 25-30 open credit cards (not carrying balances, but use several each month).
I have spreadsheets to keep track of my spreadsheets.

Current terms list $30 as the monthly max for debit rewards.
Do you have a grandfathered account, or are they just as inept at tracking bank account rewards as they are with their credit cards?
Different statement cuts but maybe a dash of inept added. I’m not questioning it.
I plan on signing a 24 month bmw lease deal this weekend for about $250/mo after incentives… this BMW card has so many negative reviews and I really want to know which card would be best to sign up for to maximize some returns. chase?
I alright have amex platinum and 1 chase card
A new card with a sign-up bonus would be ideal (US Bank Altitude Reserve a bonus worth $750 in travel right now; available to existing customers).
It’s probably too late to open a new card and have it in your hand by the weekend unless the issuer will send it overnight.
I put $5k (the max allowed by the dealer) on my existing Bank of America Travel Rewards card for 2.625% back (1.5% + 75% bonus with Platinum Honors relationship).
$131.25 back isn’t going to change my life, but it’s $131.25 I wouldn’t have if I had just written a bigger check instead.
Chase freedom unlimited is offering 3% back for up to 25k in purchases for the first year. You can then transfer those points to your sapphire or reserve to get 50% more Ultimate Rewards redemption for them.
Also impossible to get if you have over 5 new cards last 24months. Chase bonus gravy train was fun while it lasted!
Thanks; enjoy the cash back.
I know I like their otherwise worthless credit card for its negative $24 annual fee.
Isn’t amazon cutting down on those little refills though? Lol…
A few years back the minimum went to $0.50 from $0.15, so still no problem there.
So what do you clear a year from churning, signup bonuses and MS?
Not worth it if you play the points game and it would mess up your 5/24 strategy.More and more banks are using this now.
Hardly in the stratosphere compared to hardcore churners.
~$9,000 YTD (combination of cash and conservatively-valued travel points).
The game is always changing, but for the past couple of years my mantra has been:
Chase bonuses < bonuses from all other card issuers combined
It’s not even close.
Yeah, I’ve pretty much tapped AX out at this point and pretty much subsidize my Platinum card with the offers section (Thinking of canceling though with PP Restaurants being dropped as well as Centurion Lounge access being on departure only or with connection but with time limits…)
Citi won’t approve me for anything until i start chopping some of my credit limits on my 3 cards with them.
Centurion Lounge at DFW is generally so crowded you might was well sit on the floor in the terminal eating an Auntie Anne’s pretzel.
I could have ducked into the CL in Hong Kong recently, but the Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge is practically next door, and it’s one of best lounges in the world…
Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to try out one of the private cabanas and soak in a bubble bath before my departure.
Seems like everywhere I go where there’s a CL, there’s also a more appealing option.
It’s not bad until they start serving alcohol. (Hot breakfast does get a little crowded though.) That’s another annoyance with DFW’s CL (seems like every time we’re there the bar hours have been shortened.)
Literally every time I travel to Asia 1/2 and back, I always connect thru HKG for this reason (even if it’s a detour). Hands down my favorite lounge and airport in the world. I visit it at least a half dozen times a year
Is your less than symbol supposed to be a greater than symbol? I personally highly value UR to the point I’m desperately staying under 5/24 until I have hit almost every Chase card (as long as I keep getting approved)
No, definitely less than.
If I was just getting started I’d definitely begin with Chase cards, but at this point I’d never forego every other sign-up bonus on the market just to get a couple of Chase cards in the future.
This is one of the rare examples of where, over time, it’s more rewarding to be a slut.
