How do YOU find good deals?

Hey guys,

New member here. I was just wondering how do you guys find good deals for leasing?

Do you pretty much just talk to dealerships and get them to tell you their RV/MF numbers? I’ve tried looking online and it seems really hit or miss finding these values. Whats the best way?

Thanks.

Edmund’s for the RV and mf. Google something like ‘Dodge Durango Edmunds forum lease 2017’ and one of the top results will be the discussion which should have the mf and RV.

Then go on truecar, enter all your fake details (i.e. fake cell and temp email address) and get some real discounted prices from local dealers.

This way you can then use the calculator on this site to get some ballpark lease figures. You can pretty much always do better than truecar, sometime not by much but you know where to start. (Be aware of dealers including stupid unachievable rebates in their TC price)

Go to dealer websites and look under specials and also browse their inventory, sometimes they have certain inventory marked down with a big discount that applies to both purchase and lease.

I’ve heard RV values generally change every month. Will something from January or February 2017 be valid enough for cars today?

Thanks!

just make an account using 10minutemail on edmunds and ask. typically you might also want to hear about what cars are underselling. for example, american cars are always getting incentives except for the challenger/charger/mustang etc.

lexus sedans aren’t very popular because of the body redesign and they alienated their asian mom and pop family driver base by being aggressive. RX350 is still very popular tho so you won’t see many incentives.

acura is a perennial underperformer.

Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, etc.

You’ll see on the ES sedan they’re selling at a slower pace than last year. This might have the MBAs in an uproar at corporate and they’ll be pushing incentives.

As you said, they change every month, so why would information from January be relevant? You answered your own question lol

I said I heard, not that I know 100%.

lol you’d be right. again, the people on edmunds have access to the details somehow so ask there for the MF and residual.
