Is it listed as a new car or used/cpo on the dealer website? 8k miles + 30-45k miles on a 3 years lease = 38k to 53k miles. Your risk would be that you’ll be out of warranty for a chunk of your lease (I believe Toyota is still 3/36 warranty?).
If it’s on their preowned inventory, probably a trade or car they got from auction or manufacturer. If it’s new/demo/loaner then it’s a car that will still have support/incentives from the manufacturer (whether that’s a strong residual, lower MF, rebates, etc) whereas used car leases don’t have that and (from what I’ve seen at least) not worth leasing.
There’s no one way to know, you just have to do your research, the loaner programs differ by manufacturer.
Some dealers will list loaners as a used car, others will list it as a new car with XXXX miles.
For example, in order to take advantage of new car leasing programs a BMW loaner must have under 5k miles. So if you see a car listed as new on a BMW dealer website with 4,XXX miles, you can bet its a loaner.
In any event you can always email the dealer and ask if the car is a loaner or just used and if it can be leased, etc.
OK. good to know that I can just contact the dealer and outright ask things of that nature.
Regarding looking up MF, RV and incentives on a vehicle, do I use my zip code? or the zip code of the dealer? zip code of the dealer seems to make more sense.
Not necessarily - @j_e_f_f makes a good point that some dealers might list loaners/demos as used. If it is a used car that they got on trade/auction, there will be no manufacturer support (unless it is CPO, they might have special financing deals)
If they have the carfax or auto check, you can look through the history for clues – Like if it was reported at auction, or there is registration records for private lease/personal car, probably used. If listed as commercial or rental in the state the dealer is in, might be a loaner/demo (usually rental car companies only use LE and SE trims for Camry in my experience)
For MF/RV/incentives, and zip code go to Edmunds forums and ask. Unless the dealer is in a totally different area from where you’re going to tag the car, should be the same. For area-specific incentive, depends on manufacturer - In my experience, usually it is based on where you purchase, but a couple brands (I believe Chevy?) was based on where it will be registered - although that was for a Volt, so it might have been because it was an EV.
