The dealer pays him a fee. His fee is just wrapped into your monthly payment

oh…so basically they charge me but they dont wanna say that?lol

They can charge you directly, indirectly or both. If they charge you $200-800 directly or indirectly but save you thousands over what you could do (or want to do based on many factors) why not use them?

Do many LH people work with broker and get a lease car? Just curious

I wouldn’t have those kinda of data points, I think a small percentage of people do (opinion).

I think hackrs like the chase of working a deal but it seems a small percentage work with brokers. Honestly seeing some of the deals / questions posted I think more people should work with brokers.

leasing is such a frustrating process, even for me, I just personally like the “fight”. People who are inexperienced, value their time, want a good deal and understand that the savings will exceed the broker fee should use a broker with a good reputation.

I also believe that most brokers who don’t charge a fee are not very transparent and you will most likely end up with a worse deal than even after you pay a broker who charges a fee.

How to find broker in Washington, DC area…where to look? Thank you.

@Benedetto might be able to help

Or she can hire @nyclife and get a car from PA/NJ.

Here’s a list of folks who have registered themselves as brokers/dealers on the forum:

https://leasehackr.com/registered-business/

Note: not all registered businesses on the site are legitimate, so do your due diligence by visiting their profiles and reading reviews here: https://forum.leasehackr.com/c/reviews

I’d suggest only dealing with a business that has reviews in the Dealer Reviews section of the forum. Those are the only ones that we can really vouch for.

I believe the brokers that service DC area are @nyclife, @Benedetto, @ralphsaphony

some vehicles brokers just cant get good deals on, meaning they can get the same price as you plus their fee. Sometimes it’s better to do your own digging for those special vehicles/trims. Other times they offer screaming deals that you wouldn’t be able to get and thus in my opinion each situation has it’s own solution.

at times I have gotten 100 to 150 less a month then a broker…

do your own homework, it will pay off

For 99% of the public, brokers are the way to go. Even if they get a good deal, they’ll throw it all away in F&I

Plus, very convenient to just pick up a phone, give a person a few details about yourself and have the car delivered to your doorstep.
