How are rebates applied?

I have been looking at a few possible leases with rebates involved, when i have been asked if im putting any money up front i tell them that i would like to use the rebates as the Capitalized cost reduction, some have said the rebates are struckeed into the lease and still ask for taxes and fees up front , iusually around $2500-$3000..

So how are rebates used when structuring a lease?

Again im trying to use the rebates as money down covering taxes, dmv etc and plan on putting 0 down …

.

Just tell them you want to roll taxes and fees into the monthly lease payments. If you want to go $0 down they can do it.. it will just increase your monthly fees.

Rebates can be treated in one of two ways: (1) Use the entire rebate as a CCR. (2) Allocate a portion of the rebate to cover lease inception fees with any remaining balance used as a capitalized cost reduction (CCR).
