Received a phone call a few minutes ago
My wife’s friend is trying to buyout her lease and she’s getting quoted 1595 buyout fee + 4xx in non tax fees
Dealer trying to give it to her no lube with that 7.9% apr
She said she tried to buy out thru the portal and it did not let her
Anyone deal with a socal dealer that did not want a ridiculous amount to buy it out ?
She just said lease ended last month
Could she still do it?
I haven’t looked in the account portal so I’m unsure

Technically then it isn’t her Lease or even her property (in a lessee kind of way). It’s Honda’s as the lease is terminated and she is holding onto ‘stolen property’
I suspect that Honda dealership is doing a ‘favor’ for her and she should take whatever she can since she is in default with Honda at this moment.

I assume she didn’t formally extend the lease, just never returned it!?
I have no idea
I’ll see later when she brings the paperwork
@mllcb42 can she finance it thru Honda online? I see the buyout option

That’s what it says, see what options there are under ADD NEW PAYMENT SOURCE.
PenFed or Lightstream as long as her credit isn’t bad.
From what I can see, she isn’t late as it says a payment is SCHEDULED.
Lease ends may 1st
Payment is due tomorrow(autopay)
When I click add payment source
It’s for checking/savings routing number
No, she will need to bring her own financing
