I already did. The quotes I posted earlier are the best I was able to pull-out so far
If you like the car, go for it. If it were me, here’s what I would do. Move up to the CRV. The discounts I have seen on the '19’s lately have been outstanding (up to $5k off), since the refreshed '20 model is about to be released. Find a LX model in the $25-26k range, and grind them down to $21-22k (may have to be open to unpopular colors). Finance at 60 months at around 3%. Drive the thing to exactly 55K miles and dump it. (That gives the new owner 5K of Powertrain Warranty remaining). You would be shocked what thing would sell for, even to Carvana or the like.
Hi guys,
I have an update on this.
On the HR-V Sport :
Residual: $16,130
Payment: $270 (Tx Included)
Prep fee: $595
Drive off Fees: $755 = $85 (Prep fees) + $400 (Government Fees) + $270 (First Month)
MSRP:$24,815
Selling Price: $23,229
Sounds better now?
You’ll get a comparable crx cheaper
Crx? You mean, CR-V?
Yes, I did. Mistyped on my phone.
Although a crx would be WAY cheaper. Ha!
Not anymore
Your effectively at around $290 a month with Drive-Offs included. Yes, you could get a equivalent equipped CRV for less. But these HR-V just don’t lease well, never have. Also dealers and Honda have been stingy with discounts. I don’t think anyone on this forum will say your getting a good deal on a HR-V until you’re around that $200-225 range. But if you have your heart set on one, I would say your getting to about as low as you can on a lease. In the end though, you are paying more, for less, by not going with a CRV or Civic Hatchback.
Thanks for the comeback! Is CR-V as fuel efficient that HR-V? That would be my biggest concern.
I know you did tell me that it would be better at buying it but since I’m in Rochester NY only for employment, it’s better for me leasing than buying
You will give up around 2MPG on the CRV. HRV rated at 34/28 and CRV at 32/26. You don’t see many of the Civic Hatchbacks, but they are very similar in set-up to the HR-V. Far more upscale in my opinion, larger, and actually have a rated MPG of 40/31. The Sport retails for around $22k, but sure you could find a '19 in the $19-20k range.
Again, thank you so much for the feedback. However, unless I’m mistaken, Civic’s aren’t available with AWD options? I’m looking at AWD options right now because of the winter coming in and the snow they are receiving in my new hometown.
OK, yep then that leaves you with the HR-V or CR-V.
Unless there’s something better on leasing in the market? of course, staying low on payments!
At the moment, nothing really exciting lease wise has popping up in this smaller SUV class. Been some decent deals on the CRV, and few on the VW Tiguan in this price range. I would also take a look at the Buick Encore. Though nothing like the $100 a month deals a year or two ago, you can find them in that $200-225 range. I actually really like driving those little Encore’s, and fairly upscale. Wouldn’t want to own one beyond a lease term though. Same with the Tiguan.
Maybe I’m missing something here but adding these numbers into numerous car lease calculators show less than 278$/month. Can somebody help me figure out what’s wrong?
Post your calculator link and we can look at it.
Your acq fee is wrong and where did you get that MF from?
Calculator almost match OP’s deal, score 8.1
Got the MF from the manager at dealership and from another forum too.
I don’t see any 595 in the form I was given. Hidden somewhere?
8.1 seems decent no? That is probably not the best deal ever but since I don’t want to go over 300$ (tx included) for 36 months/36k miles and AWD, I don’t have many choices available!
