I’m aware that BMW understates 0-60 times. The thing is 3.8s 0-60 is the posted time for a DCT M4 Competition F82. They are stating 3.9s for the ZF8 Comp M4 G8x. The fact that they car is 500lbs heavier does not surprise me that its a fraction slower 0-60.
I hope they are heavily understating the 0-60 time in this case, because there is not much incentive for someone with an F8x to upgrade. I was seriously pondering on getting one but the performance numbers are just disappointing. The fact that its heavier means its also going to handle worse.
Let’s see. I’ll have to drive it to judge. M8 was a blast to drive, but that has a posted 0-60 of 3.2s paired with a V8 engine.

Considering the X3 M can do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds stock and 2.9 seconds when tuned, I think the M3 and M4 will be similar or .1 - .2 seconds better.

I sure hope so. C&D clocked the X3M Comp at 3.3s
I need the M4/M3 at at least 3.3s if not better…tested by C&D ofcourse
BMW claims the X3M comp does 0-60 in 4.0s flat.
That is what I was told too when I worked for Audi. Basically the ZF can handle a lot more torque than the DCT, which is why a lot of powerful models use that (M5, RS 7, etc). A DCT that can reliably handle 500+ lb-ft of torque are extremely expensive to develop.

That looks really good with the M8 grille. Maybe make the top half a little taller to accommodate the hood scoops.
It’s pig faced and needs to lay off the roids, but I’d still strongly consider leasing a M3 with the 6MT next lease go around.
Better but still could have been so much better. I mean look at the ACC sensor. The rest of front end is
symmetrical…
It’s only better because everything being blacked out and the license plate mask the horrible body lines.
If you have to camouflage the car to look ok, you’re doing something wrong.

The real problem with the front of the car are the headlights. I’ve stared at them for a long time trying to find everything wrong with it.
It’s the aggressive look and lines of the headlights that absolutely accentuate the ridiculousness of the grill. Rework the headlights and I think the grill won’t be as bad.
That’s like getting an eyebrow wax to hide a cleft lip.

The 8hp95 can handle up to 900 hp/1000 lb ft torque, insane for a stock transmission.
If the eyebrows took up to 30 percent of the frontal area of your face, sure.
