Hiya Yall!

location: Richmond, VA

I am wanting to help my dad out by reaching out on the form. He wanting to finance a used GV80 3.5T 2021 with great credit looking at 7-8 APR for 60 month with no down money. My dad is not big on the hunt for chasing deals on the eastern seaboard so I am looking for some help to see what are his best options when trying to find a great deal with these GV80.

Good luck to you and your Dad. Any dealer should be able to shop financing and get 8% for him with prime credit.

You want to finance a 4 year old truck for 5 years? Your dad is going to be paying a lot of interest on an old truck.

Keep in mind that the Genesis 10 year 100K warranty only covers the power train. The bumper to bumper warranty is 5 years 60K. You also won’t get any complimentary maintenance.

It looks like you are much better off leasing the Advance model this month. Genesis is offering a subvented lease with 62% RV and .00145MF compared to their standard rates of 54% and .00282 MF. Not sure you can get the same on a Prestige model.

With 15% (which I don’t even know if it is possible) discount the Advanced would be in the 500s.

If there were a few 1000s more in lease cash that would be an amazing deal.

We had a 2024 GV80 Advance a few years ago, and it was great. Better interior quality, ride, and options than any comparable German or Japanese vehicle in its class. My wife wanted a BMW X5 after, and frankly, if you covered up the badging, t felt like a downgrade compared to the Genesis.
