I’m a first time leaser so things are a little confusing to me. After receiving a bunch of quotes and lease worksheets, I’ve never seen “tax on collected items” included in the total cap calculation. Is that normal? After using the leasehackr calculator and calculating things by hand, I don’t get the same monthly because of the tax. I was under the impression that the tax in CA is applied to the monthly payment but I really don’t know enough about car leasing to know if that’s true.
