Help with BMW M3 lease numbers

Saw laser between Frisco and Vail a couple of months ago.

You’re the expert so I’ll trust you. I wasn’t trying to buy it, I was just taking it out for fun since I was there. Drove it like I stole it and handed back the keys.

Here’s what they had to say about the upgrades. I just noticed the upgraded steering wheel which felt good in my hands:
$27,500+ in DEALER INSTALLED Addons: BMW Performance Exhaust, M Performance Stainless Steel Pedals, M Performance Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel, Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps, Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler, Carbon Fiber Front Splitter, Carbon Fiber Front Lip, Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser, M Performance Rocker Panel Blades, BMW M Performance Suspension, Dinan Tune with Dinan Cold Air and Dinan Heat Exchanger, Ceramic Coating, Ceramic Tint, Paint Protection Film

Thanks for the tip. Those Vail cops have lots of money for traffic enforcement. I have a laser detector (and possibly jammer depending on what state I’m in) and the only laser I ever got in Colorado was by Colorado Springs. One of the splurges on my car was an integrated radar/laser system which works great.

Yeah I’m not so worried about the wait list as I am about simply receiving allocations. I’m 4th on the list at my dealer so not too far down, but when they haven’t gotten an M3 allocation in months it doesn’t matter how long the list is.

Your theory makes sense… parts associated with iDrive 8 as a reason for '22 M3 allocations trickling in as they ramp up for '23 MY, while M4 allocations seem to be more common since it isn’t getting the refreshed interior. But who knows…

I’ve heard rumblings that there should be a decent allocation drop next month for August production. Fingers crossed…

If you’re talking about the parking assistance package, I optioned that on my base M3 order. It’s WELL worth the price just for the camera system and the backup assistant alone. Especially when getting out of my tight garage, the backup assistant means I can pull out of my garage fast without the threat of a swiped sideview mirror.

As for parallel parking, that’s more or less a party trick. I have it on my current 3 series and X5 and never use it.

I was talking about the parallel parking assistant. I had that on my 2018 Jaguar and party trick is a good word for it.

The 2023 separates the drive recorder and parking assistance package separately on the M3. I’ll try attaching the 2023 build sheet here.

Sure I can appreciate the benefits of liquidity and cash flow in certain situations( in fact I think these are often underrated) but I just don’t see a 42k down payment helps you there…

I don’t think it helps you get a better deal. There isn’t any disrespect intended just talking out loud to hear the math for how this is better.

Right but there is no ā€œparallel parking assistantā€ option for BMW. It’s just a feature that’s part of the parking assistant package (specifically, ā€œparking assistant plusā€). I have it on both my X5 and 3 series, and while I agree the parallel parking tech is gimmicky, the other features of that package are well worth the price.

Good to me know. I do like the overhead view for preventing unfortunate bumps in garages

What I got from that is - cosmetic, PPF/ceramic, MPE, ā€˜aero’, and so forth.

That’s great to hear for me. I have the 380 HP 340i ZHP they made in 2018 which is probably the closest a 3 series came to an M3, albeit a pretty far step down. So I asked to drive their M4 to get a feel for what I was ordering. I say that it’s good news if all that car had was cosmetic/aero upgrades because it was a riot to drive. I thought it was fun because of upgrades.

I gotta stop talking about it. It’s going to be a long wait for my M3 if I keep thinking about it.

Well the dinan tune might do something. But at best it’ll add 100-130hp.

FYI, for people trying the payment saver loan, here’s a CU that everyone is pretty much eligible.

capedcu.com you can join by giving them a $20 donation, they have the payment saver loans.
