Need help leasing a new vehicle for my niece up in New Jersey. We are looking for the cheapest AWD vehicle available right now and we’re not sure who has the best deals this month. Sedan or suv or crossover as long as is awd shes fine with it. Thank you for your time.
4WD, check out the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. That has been, and likely will be, one of the best deals out there. The waters in the vehicle market are ugly, and are getting more ugly. In general, now is a very poor time to be getting into a lease.
I’ve seen those and are very nice but how long does it take to have it delivered now adays?
I believe most CDJR units are around 2-3 months out. If you’re looking to deal on an in-stock unit, then you chance of a deal (on anything) becomes even more minimal.
Check out the Mazda’s maybe the CX-5, i’m in NJ and had to replace a company car with something AWD for winter driving and these were by far the best deal around in this current market. Got a high trim level with options for under $400/month everything rolled in. Thing has more options and features then my wifes expensive truck. Check the autoleaseninjas post in the marketplace, they have some good deals on all the trims.
Are you in NJ or NY?
Big difference in EV rebates. In NJ could something cheap in EV.
May be Mazda.
Or take over someone’s lease originated prior to current insanity
Really should start with putting some $$ amount.
Check the marketplace listings in Northeast section to gauge some pricing.
CX-5 or CX-30 might we your best option.
Have also seen some CR-V & Passport deals as well.
Where in NJ? Most of the state is flat and doesn’t get all that much snowfall. FWD Camcords and Civollas are a dime a dozen.
New Jersey
My brother wants her car to be AWD because she has to drive in the netcong area for work which gets decent amount of snow in the winter.
I was thinking the same, but none of the cheap EVs are AWD
I think you’re probably looking at either a chevy trax or a cx-30.
He should consider the fact that if he is already looking to make compromises with a “cheap” car that the AWD systems in place will be equally cheap. Driving in the snow successfully relies on A) The Driver B) Traction and C) Ground clearance. If all else is equal a good deal on a FWD car and a good set of winter tires is a better value than an OK deal on an OK car with and OK AWD system and all seasons.
AWD is one of the best marketing trick ever by the manufacturers, giving an inflated sense of confidence against snow & wet weather.
It’s hard to convince someone who believes in the AWD capabilities so convincingly to believe otherwise.
I drove FWD TL Types S in NE winter for more than 12 years, never got stuck or felt my car was gonna leave me stranded.
Get a FWD lease or Buy a used one and put Winter Tires for driving in Winter. You don’t need AWD . I drove BMW 335i Sport with Blizak Winter tires in Chicago Snow and never get Stuck or Spin with ft of snow.
You don’t even need to pay the Blizzak price premium. I drove RWD BMWs on Generals that were half the price.
Always overconfident 4x4 driving on the unplowed left lane causing accidents.
Maybe you can help me the next time I can’t get my RWD sedan up the 0.0000014% incline of our driveway and into the garage because eleven snowflakes fell while I was at the grocery store.
Back it up…make your car a FWD LOL
I said inflated sense…didn’t say it doesn’t have some value…
