I need your help on this possible deal for a 25 Launch Edition Wagoneer S.
I’ve been searching for the past month for a GM product EV lease and have hit a brick wall with pricing and the excruciatingly high one-pay leases offered by local dealers. Because of that, I’ve since shifted my focus to Stellantis. Right now, I have a deal lined up on a Jeep Wagoneer Launch Edition for a 24-month/12k-mile lease at $303 per month with only first month due at signing. In theory it sounds good, but I’m feeling unsure mainly because I suspect there might be more room left in this deal. We went from $460+ to $303 once I mentioned a $1500 tdm and 1% off invoice, via tread lightly. How how how.
Here’s what I know so far:
• MSRP: ~$73,790
• Dealer discount: ~$11,000 (possible)
• Conquest incentive: $3,000
• Private offer TDM: $1,500
• Affiliate code: 1% off invoice pricing
• Inventory overage discount: $2,000
• BEV?
• Dealer originally quoted $460+ per month before I mentioned my TDM + 1% invoice
My concern is that the deal sheet isn’t broken down to show which manufacturer incentives are being applied, so I don’t know if I’m leaving money on the table. This $303/month offer is the lowest I’ve seen after calling 10 different Stellantis dealers.
Does $303/month still feel a bit high for this lease, considering the listed discounts (and possibly more that aren’t disclosed)?
I use auto companion’s calc to find the incentives based on my zip code. There seems to be others that may be applicable here. However, idk how to make sure it’s 100% applicable and the dealer isn’t being dishonest.
I don’t know how the numbers work out but if you are truly getting $303 a month with just 1st month due at signing on a 25 Launch that’s one hell of a deal. The only ones I’ve seen lower are for 24s.
The $21500 in savings on your sheet is the $11K dealer discount + the $7500 EV credit cash + $3000 lease bonus cash. You also now have a $1500 TDM. The only thing left is a $2000 aged inventory bonus cash (+ any BEV coupons if dealers still have them). Certain markets (Northeast) have a $4000 Conquest cash in place of the $3000 lease bonus cash - but thats based on registration zipcode.
For $15, you access the calculator and see your equivalent years. In my book anything EV should be in double digits on lease years. If you can afford to wait one day do it! Jeep dealerships are getting desperate for attention on Wagoneers because everyone went Honda, now Chevy so aside from Scatpacks, no one is looking at an EV Stellantis vehicle.
With EVs, the 1% lease rule actually means you got a bad deal. Most EVs are flowing to a 0.5% rule, if not lower. I’m curious on your one-pay number (credit card take the cash back and pay off in 8 months or less)
Thanks for the explanation and support here. Should I push to aim for a higher discount from the dealer? It looks like I’m currently around the .5 rule for EV leasing but hey, if I can get more, I’d be happy lol. I haven’t seen anyone do a one pay with CDJR recently but I can ask and will absolutely take that deal over monthly. I see some brokers are able to offer 2% instead of 1% on affiliate discounts. Am I able to ask for the same here?
Also, I’ve been using the auto companion calculator to structure my deals being that they include the MF/RV and discounts based on your zip code. However, if Rate Finder digs a bit more, happy to spend the $15!
I have a 1% invoice affiliate which isn’t included in this quote and they have an advertised extra $500 off for any vehicle. Now the saleswoman states that’s already included in the number and there’s no more money to get on the deal. Doesn’t make sense to me. Also I see the non tax fee has also changed. How come?
This is how the deal would look like based on how its written and my estimated Government fees of $150.
You’ll notice it pencils in at $317 which means there’s probably a little bit more discount in your deal than what I’m including here. This is an insane deal given that Texas taxes the whole damn purchase price. As long as what is due at signing is only 1st months payment…. this is a good deal.
@WowThisIsFun just closed the deal! Thanks sooooo much for your support! Got them to go down a tad bit more!
Deal $283.90 DAS + 3% CC CHARGE and $283.90 per month for 24/12! They have one more brand new launch edition that’s new and black on black with other demo EVs in stock. Happy to share their information if you know anyone in Tx that wants a deal close to this today! They’re driving it to me (I’m in Dallas and they’re near Mexico).
