Help me with my first lease for 2021 AMG C35 coupe

I’m looking for Mercedes 2021 AMG CLA C35. I got this quote from Mercedes Lynnwood. I live in Seattle and I have good credit. I feel price is a bit higher. Looking for some help.

MSRP: $61,105
Discount: $2,444
Time period: 36 months
Miles per year: 10,000
Monthly installment: $870 including taxes. ($785 without tax)
Down payment: $4,000

Thank you!

It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 (Blog | LEASEHACKR) to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!!
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator (CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR), and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.

A quick check in Marketplace for a broker who handles MB in WA shows me you can do much better in terms of a discount off MSRP. Also, consider putting down MSDs to bring down the MF (which you need to get from Edmunds), as this will then bring down your monthly cost.

$900 plus tax is just insane for a CLA35. Check the best discount you have seen for a CLA35 in the forum and run the monthly payment to see if it makes sense.

People were posting much more reasonable A35 numbers. Check them out. You can also check BMW 135i which is the competitor of these cars.

Even their website has please specials for around 550 a month

Can you please share link? Original price is 47.5k and additional packages are added and final price is 61k around.

$550/mo with $4600 das, excludes title, taxes, registration, license fees, insurance, dealer prep and additional options

You’re easily talking $800+/mo there

That price is for a set MSRP so I’m sure you only have a selection to pick from but agree it is alot but still less than the 900 quote he got.

It’s actually more likely more. The MBUSA offer includes a 3% discount. The OP offer is 4% discount.

Now, there may be a marked up MF making up the difference, but there’s insufficient information to tell that. The monthly is likely higher in large part due to all the missing fees and the MSRP that’s $12k higher here.
