I’m considering a lease on a 2024 Acura ZDX in Massachusetts. I’d like to do a 36 month/12k miles lease with $0 DAS. Per the Edmunds forums, the following incentives are available:
When I visited the dealership to test drive, they mentioned the $7500 EV credit as well as a $4000 Conquest (that I qualify for), but none of the other incentives. I’m hoping the learn the following (feel free to weigh in on any of the following, no need to answer the whole list):
Is my information accurate?
If the answer to #1 is yes, why would the dealer not mention this to me? Is it something that they can retain to maximize their profits if the customer is unaware, or something else?
Which of these incentives affect the dealer’s profit and which of them do not? I’m assuming the $7500 EV credit does not, but what about the others?
How can I use the information I have to make an aggressive yet reasonable initial offer? MSRP on the vehicles is ~$70k. I did see a very impressive deal come through that I’d love to use as a starting point, but coming in and asking for $20k or 26% less than MSRP might get me laughed out of town.
Thanks in advance- I’ve never leased before, and I’ve spent 10s of hours reading here trying to educate myself- it’s been an incredible resource so far!
I would suggest becoming a Super Supporter on this site, which will allow you to see what the actual incentives are, as well as the RV and MF. It’s well worth the $15 per month and you can cancel once your deal is done.
I will also DM you a leasing basics sheet I did, which has a sample email you can use when emailing dealers.
Yes your numbers are accurate. You’re goal is to get the best discount before any of those rebates/incentives. I’m targeting 8-10% in my search for a zdx. That’s a significant discount but my local dealer has 45+ ZDXs on the lot.
24m leases has a better money factor and if you can swing a single pay it’s even better.
