Help me Deceipher These Buick Encore Rebates/Incentives

So I have an Buick Encore lease expiring the middle of next month (March). The lease deals aren’t what they were a year ago so I’m toying with the idea of just buying a 2019 Encore. The purchase incentives available to me potentially look good if I can get what I think I can.

I believe that since I have an expiring GM lease and that I would finance through GM Capital I would be eligible for the following incentives. Is this correct ?

  1. $2500 Bonus Cash
  2. $1500 Stand Alone Cash
  3. $2500 Lease-to-purchase loyalty incentive
  4. $1050 Down Payment Assistance Program (Need to finance with GM Capital)
  5. $500 GM Select Market Incremental CCR Program (for 48/month purchase)

That totals out to $8050 in rebates and incentives. Please enlighten me if I’m not correct here.

Per Autobytel the incentives are as follows

I always thought that CCR in GM speak was for Cap Cost Reduction towards a lease? Maybe that’s just for the 48 month lease term?

The $500 is lease only CCR.

And does “Stand alone cash” stack with the rest of the offers? I was under the impression that “Stand Alone” in GM speak meant that’s all that you get, and it can’t be combined.

Stand alone stacks. Try carsdirect or go to the Buick website and build it and at the end it will show you price with cash incentives applied.

For what it’s worth.

The carsdirect tool suggests that the $1050 down payment assistance program doesn’t stack with the $2500 Lease-to-purchase loyalty incentive. The Buick website wasn’t as helpful in designating which incentives did or didn’t apply.

A local dealer is offering 39 month $169 Encore leases (nothing down but drive-offs ~$1600). That may work better than a purchase deal. I’m still deciding on what to do…

Options are

  1. Buy the car($25595 MSRP ~$6500 rebates) with discount/tax/drive-offs net is about $20k
  2. Lease the car as described $169/month with ~$1600 drive offs
  3. Return the expiring lease pay $495 termination fee and be done with it. Wait for better deal.
  4. Return the expiring lease pay $495 termination fee and buy a used car somewhere to drive

I believe this is correct. I think that the $1050 is if you take the 0% APR for 72 months and lose the other rebates. Personally, I’d wait til next month to do anything because GM typically gets way better in March

Well I have a GM lease, and don’t have a competitor lease. The last two years that $3k lease incentive in March was only for competitor leases. As I recall you only got $1500 for loyalty or something like that.

Maybe the deal will get better in March and then again maybe not. That’s the game we play.

Last year the March GM conquest was $3,000 on a lease for any non GM vehicle you leased or owned.

I wouldn’t qualify for the conquest $3k incentive then. All my vehicles are GM.

Go buy a junk old non GM car for $500!!

Maybe I could get this if I bargain hard
