Help me choose a lease first timer

Hey everyone I have never leased before and am interested in doing so for the first time. I am trying to pick from a few cars maybe you can give me pros and cons of each and let me know what kind of deals are in my area or give me Some others I can look at. I am going to need 15000 miles per year and would like a 3 year lease however i understand with this amount of miles (45000) by time I return it I may have to replace tires etc… which could add additional out of pocket expenses. if I can get a 2 year lease that will essentially cost me the same (overall monthly) or close I would be interested in doing that.

The first car I am looking at which I am liking a a lot is 2016 c300 sport 4 matic I have found a demo model where the dealer offered me this :

msrp was 54010 car had 1700 miles on it
They offered about 7700 off without me trying to negotiate it had

premium 2 multimedia rear view camera linden wood blind spot assist sport package panorama sunroof heated steering wheel led headlamps and was in designo diamond white

Residual was 31913
I was offered with 5000 down which would include
1st month payment 477.44
Acquisition fee 1095
Fees and insurance 185
Upfront taxes 1749.46
Cap reduction 1493.10

I cannot remember what dealer said they were charging me for money factor but he insisted it was the lowest rate I feel this payment was excessively high especially considering the down payment they wanted and I felt I should get much more off being that it was a 2016 and a demo. I loved the car however

Next car I took a look at was 340i and just wanted to compare apples to apples price wise so I told them I would want to put down payment of 5000 and they said it would run about 550 per month which just seemed too far out of my range

Others I have looked at from researching that I feel I would be interested in but haven’t gotten to drive would include q50 the Cadillac ATS and cts also my dad is gm employee which might be able to get me some special lease incentives I’m not sure. Also I have been leaning towards 2016 demos essentially trying to get the best bang for my buck with larger discount but understand the residual is lower on 2016s than 2017s

Please let me know pros and cons of each car and how I can negotiate ideally I would like to keep my overall total cost including all my fees and taxes at or close to 450 monthly or under i am in western New York by the way

Thank you

Before you look at any car, do not put $ down and do not tell them your budget.

Build a Cadillac on gmfamilyfirst.com

Thank you for quick reply I learned this already from researching I won’t let them know my budget essentially just you guys on here. For example I loved the Mercedes c300 and essentially if I could get it for what they were asking 477.44 per month on 54000 car I would be interested however they wanted 5000 down at that rate my budget of 450 a month I want to include my taxes acquisition fees etc…

Make them confirm the base mf and the residual. Also, you should lease in Jersey so you can use MSD’s.

Forgot to mention one other thing the other requirement I have is that I want my insurance to be somewhat reasonable and was quoted 500 for 6months on c300 (very reasonable) other thing is I want good gas mileage which was great about c300 not sure about the other cars so much haven’t really checked

thanks so much for your help in advance I really appreciate it

I want the best deal on one of these cars that can be found am a stickler with money lol and want to know I am essentially getting a STEAL on whatever I get

It’s not “down”, it’s your total drive-off. Your down is “Cap reduction 1493.10”, which ideally you should not pay at all. Without it - it’s $522/mo. You need to know MF to get an idea if $450 with $0 drive-off is even possible. The mileage is low for a loaner, that’s nice.

You should be able to get a 328 loaner for well under budget

I’m not essentially set on getting a loaner was just under assumption that I would get a better deal on one over getting a 2017. Am I correct is there an advantage for me to get a 2017 that I haven’t thought of? also can I get any example prices paid for any of these cars I wouldn’t mind going to New Jersey if I can get a discount by using multiple security deposits but I wasn’t aware I could do that if I lived in New York how would the msd work what could that save me approximately? Also wouldn’t really mind getting the car anywhere and getting it shipped maybe I can get input on this?

Is the acquisition fee on the C300 really $1095? That seems excessively high.

Is there any Advantage or disadvantage of leasing from one company over another for example I know that BMW offers prepaid maintenance while that’s another charge for Mercedes I don’t know much about infiniti or Cadillac…

Sorry for all the questions like I said I have never leased before but I really appreciate all the help I can get

Yes that’s what I was told for c300 I researched online and found that was marked up from 795 I believe so that’s one thing I can negotiate.

This deal pretty awesome

No way, man! With all fees/taxes rolled in - it’s over your “threshold” of 1%. This deal is just criminal! LOL

Ouch I got caught in my own tangled web of bs lol. Now I know what HRC feels like everyday  For the X6 I would be willing to break the 1% rule but please don’t tell anyone I said that lol. The system is rigged I tell you!
