Help Countering a 2025 Ford F150 Lightning Demo in NJ

Taco for the win.

Really I’m just asking from the bang for your buck perspective. Looking for the best deal I can get. Light duty is fine.

Bang for your buck goes out the window if the truck doesn’t fit your needs. Toolbox insert, drawer system, racks, etc take up valuable space quick. A unibody truck towing anything more than a pallet of feathers ain’t stoping when you’re going down grade.

I’d reconsider leasing if you’re actually putting this thing to work. It’ll be scratched or dented within the first minute of ownership.

Are you a part of any trade associations or bureaus? You might be eligible for a fleet incentive.

Literally none of these requirements were mentioned :man_shrugging:t4:

OP, since you’re driving a lot you’ll need to consider the cost of gas. So I’m leaning towards further investigating the pricing you should target on a Lightning XLT or other non-Lariat trim as was suggested earlier or a left field option: balloon loan on a Maverick hybrid

Thanks all for the input. Once I pull the trigger I’ll update on what I went with. Happy Holidays :call_me_hand:

Does that mean cheapest? A balloon loan on a pre-owned 2024 Ram 1500 Classic 4WD Crew Cab LT will be around $200/mo.

I’m going to have to do some research on this balloon loan. Never heard of it in auto financing - is it like other balloon payment loans? yes btw biggest bang does essentially mean cheapest.

scratch that just found your primer - Better Than a Lease? A Non-captive Balloon Loan Primer

:winking_face_with_tongue: thank God I’m a feather trader!

Taco still wins

Taco isnt a full size truck.
XLT for 25 were all short range FYI but seem to have the best support right now, better than lariat and flash.

Hi all. So I’ve got the below deal in hand for a 2025 Lightning Lariat (demo - 3000 miles on the dash). I’m having a hard time putting the numbers into the calculator properly.

Can you guys give me some thoughts?

Thanks!

BTW here is how the $15000 rebate plays out:

I tried to put in the calc.

Taco still wins…

Thanks Nom… I might go Taco if I can’t get the demo deal I want on a Lightning. Any ideas as far as number I should be shooting for with a nicely appointed Taco?

I just submitted this deal for another Lightning:
MSRP of $82K

12.2% discount → $10000

Demo mileage cash → $6000

EV Public Charging Credit → $2000

EV RCL Cash → $6000

Final Days Mega Bonus Cash → $1000

Residual Value = 60%

Money Factor = 0.00002083

24 month lease

12,000 miles/ year

$2,480 DAS (1st mo. + gov and dealer doc fees)

Capitalize Taxes

$420/Month

Good luck with your Lightning offer!!

On a Taco, I would target 15% dealer discount before any rebates you may qualify for.

7% on a demo seems light. There looks to be 1k incentive for aged units- 180+ days on lot, can you tell if these qualify?

It’s def 180+. I thought the 7% discount was light as well, but they said they only had $1000 in profit on the deal with those numbers. I’m likely going to walk away. Hoping the other dealer can work closer to my ask: MSRP of $82K

12.2% discount → $10000

Demo mileage cash → $6000

EV Public Charging Credit → $2000

EV RCL Cash → $6000

Final Days Mega Bonus Cash → $1000

Thx! We’ll see… wish I could be lazy and just find a PN deal on here without all the legwork - but they all seem ehhh… especially the 7500 mile ones and I haven’t seen any brokers throwing up numbers that make my head spin either.

There was a broker here @LightningAuto that would post his Lightning deals, but I have not seen anything recent- probably a sign that Lightning leases are not good these days. If I recall, in September he was around 10-11% off new models.

Thx. Just shot him a message.

Anyone have any thoughts on doing this vehicle - 2025 Lightning Lariat Demo (4000 mi on the dash) - as a 1 pay $12K 24mo./12,000 miles?
