Helo trying to get rid of Tesla and into traverse/Acadia/pilot/telluride

Should be picking up Sunday sending e sigs Friday for end of the month

Leasing or financing? What’s APR & term if latter?

Where did the payment land?

And this is how you turn $10k of negative equity into $12k

You can get a better deal than that. Probably could lease a EV9 for less.

They don’t want help, they want Internet strangers to reassure them that chasing one bad decision with another will end with zero financial consequences. :sparkles::money_with_wings:

There are worse outcomes. Model Y loses about $500 in value per month, and that could increase once the refreshed project juniper finally launches or the next EOQ firesale starts.

This is the real problem. One bad deal into another bad deal doesn’t help.

If they had no other choice than to borrow for their new business that I would understand.

But to borrow that much at todays rates, just because he can’t temporarily let go of a mass produced car that he can buy new or used any day of the week?

We’ve seen this story play out literally a thousand times before. Most people come here looking for reassurances of their bad financial plans. They don’t come here to actually take advice.

It’s a lease payment landed at 875

As one user said earlier the Tesla is loosing value at example of $500 month not to mention when the juniper comes out it’ll be less . On top of that Elon may very well drop current model y pricing even more to get rid of the current model y . So for let’s say I keep the Tesla now it’ll be even harder to get rid of . I have 5 more years of the Tesla vs if I sign the lease only 3 years and done and able to be fresh. The payment is $142 over 3 years that’s 5k and truly only $1500 out of pocket since this weekend I’d be forced to do registration and Tesla payment . Insurance is probably going to go down a bit for being non Tesla . Yes gas I’ll have to spend but I’ll save on electric bill at home (probably still spend more on gas I’m aware ) . Purchasing a third car is not an option as I said above community doesn’t allow third car parked over night . And Kia dealership due to my relationship with used to working for owner offered $35k for Tesla $3-5k higher then anyone else and best deal on car as well .

Yes I can see most people looking to get people reassuring there own idea but I initially asked for anyone to point in a direction for best deal .

I tried to convince of that car but she just didn’t like it at all .

The difference this time was that there is a solution within easy reach. But to the OP his rebadged Civic is more important than investing in the business.

Because you know, “she’s just a SAHM and it’s just a side hustle” — infer of that what you will.

I said this in another thread that I sold a Model 3 recently and not a single interested party mentioned the new model or price reductions on in-stock inventory. No one in the market for a used car at 50-60% of its new price is seriously contemplating a brand new one.

Every dealership I visited or talked to only offered $30k to $32k for Tesla and wasn’t even bother discounting car and even was still adding crazy addendums of $6k . This was on other kia or the Chevy or GMC cars if they even had one close to what we liked

I experienced the same thing. Was $7k underwater on a Trail Boss. I went to 10 dealerships and went further into farm country and OMG someone bought it for exactly what I owed. Thats a pickup though. I agree with sentiment here. No way out right now - ride that out - it’s just transportation and even if things have changed - you’re going to be okay. Don’t total it on purpose, have it stolen and cut it up for parts to sell on ebay, burn it, or disable 12 V and put in storage and report stolen. Definitely dont do any of these things. :blue_heart:

Getting rid of my as you called rebadged civic sint something I wanted . Nor did she ask . That’s something for me that I don’t wanna get rid of because it’s nostalgic for me . If it was her choice she wouldn’t do the side hustle and get rid of Tesla . The business is something I created for her to do for side income . I’m not bashing her being a SAHM/W . She doesn’t have an easy job but she loves it and when I come home I’m all hands on deck . She wants more children very soon and with having two already Tesla y is on small side if that were to happen soon and really put us in a hole with the Tesla

Do NOT put a fist sized chunk of dry ice into a 1 gallon can of paint, hammer the lid shut tight and place it on the center console only to have it explode like a paint bomb totaling the entire car and then blame it on neighborhood kids.
