What if we are 100% wrong and Delivrd is actually a good business idea. Delivr has a legit broker/relationships with dealerships to facilitate the deals. The social media content is just to drive traffic and make money off views. The content is all 100% scripted.

This would not be a surprise at all. So much on social media and influencers is scripted/fake these days that it’s hard to filter out the real posts.
At scale the illusion of a good deal is called TrueCar.

Exactly. As the dealerships (stealerships) have a long earned and well deserved reputation for…wait for it… ripping people off!!!
I mean probably everyone here had that feeling before and that is how they found leasehackr in the first place.
To think that this site is indicative of the car buying public at large would be a huge mistake.
So many people here focusing on best price. Best price is a moving target and defined differently by many people. To some best price is cheapest car, even a lime green dodge hornet. Some want a car or certain features, then what is best price is open to interpretation,
Dealerships spending decades ripping people off created the market he serves. Kudos to him for exploiting the bullshit dealers pull and monetizing it multiple ways.
All I see here is jealousy as everyone thinks they can do it and do it better.

It’s a great business model and I’m sure that article is going to make them a ton of money. Most people don’t do their homework, they will read his reviews which are good, and just pay them.
I’m positive they don’t haggle with your local dealer bc they mention shipping cars so I’m sure they just have dealers in each market for each brand that play along. The social media content is to discourage people from doing it on their own, also smart, although deceptive.

We can’t produce the same level of entertainment. We can’t justify the $1k fee.
A few folks suggested during the pandemic that we should stage the LH broker drama as a reality TV show.

The social media content is not only free advertising but also a profite source. They have tens of millions of views over the past year. The RPM for car buying YouTube channels is high, normally well north of $10. They are pulling in six figures just off of YouTube. Plus whatever they get from TikTok and other social media affiliate programs.

Oh I’m sure they make a ton off that. Many of my neighbors are paying 6k a month rent and just walk around with cameras all day.
I wish I had the audacity and personality to do the same. I’m an introvert and don’t even want to talk on the phone to people let alone film myself constantly. Not sure who would want to watch me make Toyota deals in my underwear all day though…
Everyone finds their niche if they’re successful and I’m sure they will make a ton from smooth brained shoppers. I assume most if not all my customers shop my quotes around the way one should.

I watched his channel a few times, it was entertaining for a bit but then got repetitive. I can see how it’s intriguing for those who have very little insight to the industry and how it actually operates. At $1,000 per deal, that’s worth looking into as a side hustle!
