Has anyone seen any Porsche Macan’s close to base config - around $65K MSRP in the recent months? Everything I see is $73K or more.
Also how common is it to find 4-8% off the MSRP on this car in these tough times?
Their MF is a bit steeper than other brands (almost 9%)
I guess what I’m trying to get at is to lease one of these babies under $1k/mo.
This one gentleman in FL was trying to offload his Macan for the same price on the marketplace, but he got boo’d away to SAL, which I thought was strange.
It doesn’t help that the base price was raised more than $3,500.
There are still some 23’s laying around with the old base price which helps.
The other thing you have to consider is that a dealer needs to order cars for inventory that make sense for their market. The average Porsche customer, even on a Macan, is not “value shopping”, most people won’t want one of these stripped out.
I can get you into one for under 1k/mo easily but it would need to be shipped to you.
I was at a Porsche dealer yesterday while a family member test drove a CPO 911. The dealer told me that Porsche keeps track of how much over base MSRP each vehicle the dealer sells is, and to keep Premier status and get more allocations, they have to sell cars with enough options to raise the MSRP over a certain percentage. At any rate due to this I don’t think you’ll find many base Porsche’s for any model.
In the same vein if you load up a car with a crapload of options, you are more likely to get an allocation sooner.
