I have owned Porsche since the late 1987. Maintenance is not inexpensive and if you only use a dealer, it can be very costly. There is a large network of Porsche Independent repair facilities that perform all the services you require for substantially less. Not always the most convenient and usually no loaners but in my mind that is a small price to pay to drive a great vehicle.
I clicked on build a porsche panamera on the porsche website. The total price for the cheapest base model is about $88380 excluding tax and $0 down but the monthly lease payment for 3 years is 1544. How much can dealers beat on that price? But since I am leasing it what incentives can they offer
Would it be relatively easy to get 20%-25% off MSRP for a 2018 Turbo. Notice most dealers have 4-6 of these in their stock.
Easy? Doubtful. Have you tried emailing any dealers to ask?
Yes, called and email - all said they can aggressively discount but need me to come in.
That is the most standard line ever in the car business, “oh uh come on in, I promise you’ll get the most best deal ever, because my manager said so”
PORSCHE - if it needs any out of warranty work - then its not an asset - its a liability! lease new - or avoid probably!
Turbo Sport Turismo as I said earlier I was offered 50K off to start on a 18 and that was a few months ago. So yes you can for a Sport Turismo the normal one a bit less about 15-18% when I was looking a few months ago.
Went to a dealer, the best they told me for 2018 Turbo Sport Turismo is 15% off MSRP. What state/city did you get 50k off?
I’m leasing if that makes a difference.
I’m watching this thread with keen interest.
My frugality typically overwhelms my desires and my budget, which is why there isn’t a Panamera in the garage right now.
With the right outcome this thread could push me over the edge. Good luck.
Never go to a dealer email only. Only go for when doing the financing or after the PPI and deposit is made. Once you are there they won’t work give you a deal. 50K off starting offer from dealer was in CA.
You need a good independent mechanic for any sports car or exotic car.
Better yet, use your CC from home/office for deposit and get CC points, sign at home/office and avoid the dealer altogether.
MBi: I agree - never go to a dealer to negotiate a lease. You might need to go to the dealership for the test drive/s to decide which model you prefer! In Florida BMW and MB dealers really want buyers to come in to the dealership and then somehow be “stitched up” into a really bad lease deal that generates massive profit for the dealership - if they can get away with it - just my opinion
Definitely not unique to Florida!
Definitely use a good CC. Even drive off pay as much as possible via CC that dealer allows.
Yes you could go to the dealership to test drive just don’t try to negotiate while there. When I helped a friend get a 330 last year local Brooklyn dealer tried to really give it to them with a high cap cost reduction and only BMW incentives as the only discount.
Thanks to this forum I was able to pick up a 2018 Turbo Sports Turismo for 24% off. The advice from @MBi and @wantcar helped me a lot with negotiating the deals! Here are some photos:
@socalcarguy congratulations!!! can you post the details of the lease. I always wanted to jump the gun and get a panamera. Maybe not turbo like yours coz that’s definitely out of my budget.
That’s a fabulous color. Congrats!
