If this was west coast, I’d push for closer to 15%, but east coast seems to be sitting tight around what you have. Idk if there are some regional incentives Mfg 2 Dealer that they are going with to get to that number or the lure of the last V8 Toyota is stronger on the east coast.
Either way, subvented APR from LFS,no blessings I’d take it.
Nice job! You’ll NEVER be underwater! I love the GX for all the reasons you mentioned. Currently we have a ‘22 Highlander and I don’t think the GX is any bigger inside and we (as a family of 5) need more space than what’s in the Highlander.
While the V8 may not be as powerful as others on the market, the GX is silky smooth, even under full throttle. Plus its relatively simple motor, and tuned for longevity.
It has an appeal for longevity, comfort, and remaining in comfort and isolation while the world ends outside. The interior appointments look archaic, say no hyperscreen, but step into the new TGNA Lexus vehicles and the design is fresh/new, but the materials dont feel upto par.
The GX550 is an interesting deal strictly from a powertrain standpoint. I dont have faith in it yet.
Yes, this engine started out with the 2018 LS, then LX/LC, then Tundra, Sequoia, and now the GX. However, the LSs suffered block replacements and tuning issues, tundra had wastegate issues, now hearing the LC300 owners out in the ME are suffering engine block replacements.
All in all, dont know if its a supplier issue, tuning issue, or design fault. Dont want to end up holding the proverbial bag like 2ARFE, 1zzfe/2zzfe owners.
@Dany1122 Who told you that base is $75k? Dang thats quite the bump. I remember when bases were 54, premiums were 58, lux was 65-67. Now its base at 59, premiums 61, and lux is 70s.
