Ok, so I really like the Equinox EV. I went and test drove it today and received an initial deal sheet for the 3LT and 2LT. The numbers are ok but I think they could be stronger.
What’s the best way to shop around to see how competitive dealers can be? Literally give them the deal sheet and ask them to beat it? I think I took a bath on my first lease and don’t want to do it again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

You have a lot more homework to do and need to spend a lot more time on this site learning how to structure a deal. Sending around a deal sheet you got is a waste of time, since you don’t know what constitutes a good deal. I’ll send you privately a sheet I put together on the basics of how to get a good deal. In the meantime, search this site to see what others have paid for that car and what brokers are charging.
I’ll admit, I’m green, but I understand the inputs that constitute a good deal as shown under “deals” or within the forums. I just don’t know how to attack the deal. My question is if it’s par for the course to just tell the dealer what I want to earn their business. If that’s how they play ball, I’m happy to go that route.

Yes, just tell them what deal you want and they can take it or leave it. You should expect that a bunch will leave it before you find the one that takes it. It’s not a big deal though if all you’re doing is sending emails to a bunch of dealerships, as it’s not much work.

I don’t know if it’s par for the course in general, but figuring out what an aggressive (but realistic) offer is and starting off w/ that makes a lot of sense conceptually (and I think there are posters here who have used it in practice, to good effect).
