Just wanted everyone to know how the optional gorilla glass kept my wife and I safe this past weekend! Back when ordering my 4XE, I’ve kept hearing the gorilla glass is not worth the upgrade but I can for sure tell you if we had the regular windshield it would not have held up and results would have been ugly. The gorilla glass did its job and kept the projectile from penetrating the interior cabin!
On a side note, the highway patrol officers informed us that we were the 2nd “Rubicon” with the windshield impacted by a “projectile” while traveling down the I10 heading towards Palm Springs that Saturday afternoon 7/9.
