Deal Check:
Leasing a car for my wife and have been looking for a “a deal” for a couple weeks. She’s returning a leased 2023 Impreza sport with 13k miles on it which they are giving her 21,500 for.
The two quotes they gave me are:
Crostrek Premium 4k down and 271 monthly
Crostrek sport 4k down and 298.23 monthly
I’m not crazy about putting anything down to be honest, but he is apparently “as low as he can go”
Without seeing the numbers, it’s hard to tell. If you want, I can give you a referral to a dealer though that gives very fair deals up here and that I’ve personally used.
You don’t have to put any money down if you don’t want to. It really depends on the MF. The lower the MF the less I would put down as long as you are comfortable with the payment.
This is definitely not a deal and it’s exceedingly unlikely to lead to a deal. Aside from a brief WRX phase IDK the last time a Subaru lease was a deal. As a company they’re just not interested.
How are you benefiting from this strategy of leasing Subarus, returning them with very low miles and leasing again?
Personally I do it because my wife can’t troubleshoot anything literally anything with a car so want to ensure she just leased new cars as she is unlikely to ever have a problem the dealer won’t be responsible for fixing while giving a loaner. I don’t lease my car .
